Ice Cream, A Creative Tuesday Entry

please click to enlarge

Ice cream is my favorite summertime dessert, so it was really fun
to be able to sketch a yummy banana split in a brown transferware
bowl for my Creative Tuesday entry! My favorite part of eating
ice cream is the hot fudge! If you need a good recipe for hot fudge
click HERE for mine. It's thick and fudgey and perfect.

Did you know?
  1. July is National Ice Cream Month!
  2. The US produces the most ice cream in the world.
  3. Ice cream became available to the general public in France in 1660.
  4. Ice cream was introduced to the US in the 1700's but mostly enjoyed by those of status and wealth.
  5. And, vanilla still remains the most popular flavor of ice cream!

Life is like an ice-cream cone, you have to lick it one day at a time.

What's your favorite flavor?
Personally, I like them all!
But I usually choose something with chocolate and caramel in it.

Maybe you could catch the nugget before it left the bird's mouth!

So, I'm guessing nothing sweet ever touches your tongue and travels south?

  47. Bets, I know this because I worked with Edy's Grand brand advtsg for years and their regional rep would fill me in on all kinds of facts. We used them on air for contests & things. I was amazed by the vanilla stat and never forgot it.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Cali ~ yes, I think that is so interesting! I'm glad you shared it here. Fascinating. And although vanilla is good, it would never occur to me to choose it while other flavors were in front of me. ha.

  54. MacDonalds thinks that they are so posh as they now put whipped cream and a cherry on top of their shakes. I am glad they do, but it is fast food. Great picture that you created.

  55. Love your ice cream and your ice cream facts :-) My favourite woould have to be a triple ( yes thats right) triple chocolate. For me, the words "too rich" or "too sweet" can never be placed in a sentance that contains the word chocolate

    ReplyDelete
  56. Janet ~ I'm with you on that...never enough chocolate and there isn't such a thing as too rich! ha.
