Remember last week when I showed you my new
charging station I made for The Mister?
I removed the bird cage, assembled a table,
hung a chalkboard and bought a beautiful lamp and bamboo
tray that holds all the USB cords and devices in a neat, orderly way.
It's right inside the back door where he can throw his keys, wallet
It's right inside the back door where he can throw his keys, wallet
and phone down and there is plenty of space to charge
all of his other devices all at once.
Two days later he said he saw these cool outlets that had
USB connections built right in! He had ordered 5 of them to
put throughout the house from Amazon Prime.
I wasn't really sure why we needed them....not with the
newly designated, convenient station I just set up, but he
was excited, so what the heck, right?
Um. Well.... here's his Kindle, charging in the kitchen.
Why, I ask? lol. Obviously, the man doesn't appreciate
my new years resolution of having a place for everything
and everything in its place. I think I'm fighting an uphill
battle on this one. Yep, I really do! :)
♥
Ah well, life's a bit of a trial sometimes isn't it?
ReplyDeleteYes, at times it is. haha....the trials of living with
Deleteall these men. :)
They are some work sometimes. lol When you find something charging other than on the station move it to the station. Sooner or later it might sink in. We have to choose battles with this kind of stuff though. Just depends on how workable and well trained he is. ; )
ReplyDeletehow workable and well trained....lol...obviously neither. :)
DeleteOh dear and I thought you had such a great idea!:)
ReplyDeletehaha...I know! At least he's plugging his cell there.
DeleteShame . . . I think your idea was/is a great one . . . :)
ReplyDeleteOh, it will all work out. I just thought it was funny. :)
DeleteI don't think he's the only man who knows that a thing belongs wherever you put it down!
ReplyDeletehahaha....oh, that is so true!
DeleteAh, well... you tried!
ReplyDeleteYes, I did. haha. Most of his things are still on the charging station, though, so maybe there is still hope. :) I did have to laugh, though, that the kitchen was the landing spot for that Kindle.
DeleteI feel your pain, and think your charging station is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteAround here, a clear, flat space just seems to call out, "Help, I'm empty!" And sure enough, someone is more than willing to help. :-)
Isn't that the truth? Some people like me notice those piles and try to cure them...others create the piles and don't see the problem. haha.
DeleteHi Betsy - he enjoyed his find and he's deployed them ... a Kindle in a kitchen ... that's worse than a book amongst the icing sugar! Ah well .. and you're right perhaps he'll notice in due course and things will change - you can use the charging station all for yourself! Happy week ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteWell, I have my desk and laptop and everything charges there like it always has. Yes, he did enjoy his find! Those plugs will be great when the big kids come home and need spots to charge their phones, so it's all good.
Deletehaha now that they are everywhere
ReplyDeleteFair game at your lair
That is neat though
Never knew such outlets could be given a go
Amazon what has come about
Deleteso I guess it's useless to pout. haha.
LOL... whatever you do don't surrender!
ReplyDeletehaha...well....gotta pick my battles wisely. :)
DeleteGood luck changing those old habits. I've been trying for years in my house. :-)
ReplyDeleteyep...the old dog new tricks theory! I mentioned the whole idea of the
Deletecharging station. So far, nothing new is being charged in a weird spot. :)
Hey that could be my kitchen counter too! :)
ReplyDeleteMy condolences. haha....
DeleteI'm sorry, Betsy....I can't comment...I'm laughing too hard. HaHa
ReplyDeletelol....oh, I know! :)
DeleteTypical....lol
ReplyDeleteI loved your charging station :)
~Jo
I know...I love it, too! Oh well, at least it's pretty! haha.
DeleteSame situation at my house. Drives me nuts! Devices/phones all over the place. Doesn't matter if there is a designated spot or not....*sigh*
ReplyDeleteWell, it's good to know I'm not alone...but I'll admit this one took me by surprised!
DeleteLord, sounds exactly like my hubs!
ReplyDeleteLOL! They are OBSESSED with cluttering kitchen counters I think! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally agreeing with you on this one- my husband loves to unload everything and I mean EVERYTHING out of his pockets right on my kitchen bar. It doesn't matter how many times I complain- he keeps doing it. ARGH!
ReplyDeleteNew Year's Resolutions eh? someone's always going to sabotage you.
