Cincinnati Dinner Train

The Mister's boss took his staff and spouses out for our
annual Christmas dinner.  This year we went for a ride
These pictures are with my cell, so they aren't the
best quality, but you get the idea.
It was very cool....with menus, music and style
from the year 1949.  We ran along the Ohio River and
could see the skyline, water and twinkling lights
from our seats around the table.  Very fun!

  1. Sounds neat
    A better way to eat
Not the same old same old
That always seems to take hold
    Traveling by train
Must have made the boys jealous at your lane
Did they add the pic to a pile?
Neat idea as you drive many a mile
Does a train drive or just go?
    Damned if I know

    1. The engineer drives!
If nobody was there it would give us hives!
haha....The boys like the photos I brought home
and we thought next year we'd go down and roam
      and let them come along
      maybe during the summer song.
      Although they wouldn't eat
or think the noise was a treat.
But there was a coach car
that they would like by far.
      No serving of weird food
      and noise so rude.
      Cheaper, too,
than if we fed the whole crew. lol

  2. Looks like a whole lot of fun, we have a similar dinner train here that runs from Nashville, I've only had the pleasure once, but it was so enjoyable.
You and the Mister are such a beautiful couple...
We're winding down to the big day !

  3. Hi Betsy, Wonderful picture of you both. This looks like it would be so fun. When we lived in Atlanta, there was a restaurant at a small airport and everything was circa 1940's...it was a lot of fun to visit there on special occasions.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. Wishes for you guys to have a special Christmas week!

  8. Oh train dinner rides are the best, and I can't think of a better time than Christmas. Love the picture of you and the Mister. What a darling couple you are.

Love your fur....you were 1940's styling.

  17. Well that looks fun. They don't have anything like that around here. I was wondering if it only ran during the holidays but I just checked out the website and it looks like it runs all year round.
