The Mister's boss took his staff and spouses out for our
annual Christmas dinner. This year we went for a ride
on the Cincinnati Dinner Train!
These pictures are with my cell, so they aren't the
best quality, but you get the idea.
It was very cool....with menus, music and style
from the year 1949. We ran along the Ohio River and
could see the skyline, water and twinkling lights
from our seats around the table. Very fun!

ReplyDeleteWhat fun
Look at you!
Delete#1 at my zoo!
Sounds neat
ReplyDeleteA better way to eat
Not the same old same old
That always seems to take hold
Traveling by train
Must have made the boys jealous at your lane
Did they add the pic to a pile?
Neat idea as you drive many a mile
Does a train drive or just go?
Damned if I know
The engineer drives!
DeleteIf nobody was there it would give us hives!
haha....The boys like the photos I brought home
and we thought next year we'd go down and roam
and let them come along
maybe during the summer song.
Although they wouldn't eat
or think the noise was a treat.
But there was a coach car
that they would like by far.
No serving of weird food
and noise so rude.
Cheaper, too,
than if we fed the whole crew. lol
lol you've got a plan
DeleteAnd no food they'll chuck in the trash can
...or gag and make a scene
Deleteas the people ask us to leave. lol....
Looks like a whole lot of fun, we have a similar dinner train here that runs from Nashville, I've only had the pleasure once, but it was so enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteYou and the Mister are such a beautiful couple...
We're winding down to the big day !
~Jo
We ARE winding down...or maybe winding up? haha....I'm trying to get my list updated and in order right now!
DeleteHi Betsy, Wonderful picture of you both. This looks like it would be so fun. When we lived in Atlanta, there was a restaurant at a small airport and everything was circa 1940's...it was a lot of fun to visit there on special occasions.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting my blog. Wishes for you guys to have a special Christmas week!
I think the 40's theme made it a lot of fun...something different!
DeleteWhat a fun way to have a work party!
ReplyDeleteyes, I agree...it made it a lot of fun and not the typical restaurant thing!
DeleteBeautiful!!
ReplyDeleteYour three guys must of been going crazy, when they found out about your dinner.
What a great boss!
We didn't tell them when we left, of course..haha...but they liked the photos when we got home!

DeleteOh train dinner rides are the best, and I can't think of a better time than Christmas. Love the picture of you and the Mister. What a darling couple you are.
ReplyDeleteLove your fur....you were 1940's styling.
Hugs.
I was glad I had that fur on....it was a little chilly in there!
DeleteThis is a great idea, we just don't do things like this on our own...and you both look happy too!
ReplyDeleteYou're right...don't take the time! For the dinner or the photos! haha...
DeleteI love this!! Never done it, but sure would like too. We HAVE done a few steamboat dinner cruises, and I loved those. I'm sure this would be just as much fun! Looks like you were all dressed up for the ride, too!
ReplyDeleteA steamboat dinner cruise sounds like a lot of fun, too! We saw a steamboat out on the river...I wonder if that was one of them!
DeleteLike a grown up Polar Express!

DeleteThat looks like a lot of fun! We've been on a dinner cruise in the Charleston harbor before. Very different and lots of fun. I would love to go on the train, too!
ReplyDeleteIt must be the changing scenery that makes these things so fun!
DeleteFor sure!
DeleteWhat a unique idea for a night out!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun for you and The Mister...
Enjoy your busy day Betsy...raining here..
I think I will putter around the house...get the Christmas table set...always fun doing that!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
It's raining here, too....will be all week!
DeleteUgh...what a yucky day to slosh around the city.
A little colder and we'd certainly have a white Christmas!
So glad you had a good time.
ReplyDeleteyep...very fun!
DeleteHi Betsy - what a fun time you had ... and what a great idea the Mister's boss had for your Christmas outing ... looks just such a fantastic time ... lovely ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteIt was fun to do something a little different! Now we want to go again!
DeleteThat looks like so much fun. How elegant too. Very christmassy, I must say.
ReplyDeleteWell that looks fun. They don't have anything like that around here. I was wondering if it only ran during the holidays but I just checked out the website and it looks like it runs all year round.
ReplyDeleteOh what a treat! I read many of your posts but don't take time to comment...but think of you often. May you and yours enjoy a beautifully blessed CHRISTmas week and new year. You are a beaut! XO
