How sweet is that . . . great shots . . . :)
Isn't that cute? And she hopped around on the ground...kind of like saying, "OK..I've showed you how to do it...this timeyou do it all by yourself!" :)

Wow, baby got doused! So cute. I watched several sparrows take a dirt bath yesterday - cracked me up!
He practically submerged himself...must have felt wonderful. :)
I bet it did. I almost thought from your title (before I saw the photos) that you were talking about your new baby Star's bath... ha!
haha...oh, no...I don't have pictures of that. It took all four of our hands to get the job done in about 30 seconds. haha.

so fun to watch!
That is such a sweet picture story. Love mom's watchful eye....Your photography is just so elegant and special. Thanks.
It was so cute...mom was close but certainly teaching some independence. And baby did great!
what a precious moment to catch on film!!
made my day...
The young one is learning fast.
He certainly was....and when he was done..mama flew away and he followed!
This is such a cute post. Regarding Star, I would get some tuna in water, add a bit more water with each serving. Even a tbsp at a time of tuna and water might help. Also, add warm water to her soft and hard food. Just a bit each time. She might get used to the hard food softened a bit with a water-based gravy. You can also syringe water into the side of her mouth but they don't usually care for that.
Thanks, Deb...I have tuna in water, so that's a great idea! I knew you'd know! I've done the syringe thing before...not fun but it gets the job done in an emergency. ha.
Hi Betsy - thanks for the check in .. lovely to see you there. Great little birding bath ... gosh they'd be freezing here ... but the breeding is going on!! Weather is maggoty .. but come Wednesday I gather we are going to the beach for some sun!! Cheers and I'll be whizzing backwards to see the backwards news! Happy summer days - Hilary
Hi Hilary! No news on Peaches...he only came back once after his vet trip. Star has been a good distraction for me as I was spending a lot of my day looking out the back door for him. :)
Such a cute little bird! Your photos are wonderful!
How sweet, how sweet...how SWEET!!And the bath itself...I like the electrical glass insulators for decor. Pretty addition.
I'm serving coffee! Stay and chat! And no awards, please! Your comments are my awards!
