- Packages on the porch this morning waiting for the mail lady. Business has been hopping...so thankful and so fun! Slate always helps send the boys out the door and then get the boxes out!
- African Daisies. New to me and so pretty!
- Chilly this morning..only 42 degrees! That's only 10 degrees warmer than snow! Geesh. But if you wear a fur coat, it's still good weather for napping on the porch swing!
- Star improves every day! She's curious, quiet and sweet. She hopped up on the bathroom counter this morning and landed with a back leg straight into my coffee cup. I'm sure it was hot enough to hurt...I had just poured it. She hissed but seems to be ok. I assured her it wasn't my fault! ha. She seems to be smitten with Slate. I don't blame her a bit. I found her napping on the couch near him this afternoon. She's purring now, too!
- Breakfast. I commented to The Mister that even though this is supposed to be a terrible year for pollen, my allergies have never been better. He mentioned that he just read about allergy sufferers getting relief by eating yogurt every day. I started doing that about 6 months ago. How about that?
- I thought this was a cool addition to my shop. It's a page from a ladies French fashion magazine, Les Modes Parisiennes, November 1877. Pages were engraved and printed back then...and hand tinted. Very neat.
- Ground cover in the back yard.
- Tomatoes, although I'm sure they are shivering today!
♥
You give your mail lady a workout!
ReplyDeleteI know! I really do! But I think she's used to it by now. ha.
DeleteOh, to be a kitty on a swing! Now that's interesting about the yoghurt because mine aren't as bad and I have been eating it daily since last fall. Cool!
ReplyDeleteOuch to Star... I am glad she and Slate are pals and he looks like a good morning helper.
By the way, I have been hemming and hawing about the print. It's lovely.
Isn't that interesting? That really must be it because usually I'm miserable in the spring with itchy eyes. I still have a runny nose but the itching is just not there this year! yay!
DeleteWow, that is a lot of packages indeed
ReplyDeleteThere at your feed
Glad Star is doing well
Even if she went to coffee hell lol
Slate has a new buddy in her
The cold doesn't seem to bother those with fur
If it was McDonalds she might have sued
Deletewith a burn from the coffee I brewed!
But she seems to be alright
even though I'm sure it caused a fright!
Good no vet bill
DeleteAnd she didn't take ill
Burns are no fun
A human would have sued a ton lol
Maybe after all she's been through
Deleteshe didn't think it was too rude.
Except for the hiss she took it in stride
and later was trotting along at my side.
Hard to get used to her grumpy face
I don't have any of those here at my place!
lol well a grumpy faced cat
DeleteMade another rich at their mat
Maybe she'll help you
Get riches at your zoo
I like your peaceful photos. I know full well they don't tell your entire story, but they do give me a glimpse into your heart.
ReplyDeleteI take pictures of children, when they're around, and you take photos of cats and birds.
Thank you for a glimpse into the tranquility that can be ours if we will but seek it out in the midst of this crazy thing we call life.
:0)
What makes you think my life is crazy? ha.
DeleteOh... I don't know.

Lots of This's and lots of That's . . . . very pleased about Star and nice she is getting close to Slate ~ He'll look after her I expect.
ReplyDeleteGood news about the Yoghurt and Allergies going . . . . maybe that's the formula . .
lol Cats everywhere Cat Woman . . . lol
You have been a busy bee with your business . . kudos to you . . :)
I'm not Cat Woman, I'm Wonder Woman....well, I wish I was. lol....
DeleteTo me you are, honey . . :)
DeleteNice that you have some tomatoes!
ReplyDeleteWell, I cheated and bought a huge plant with fruit already on it! haha. It's too cold here....the rest of the blossoms won't come on until August I bet.
DeleteLove the pics! Especially the flowers and tomato. Yogurt, huh? It's worth a try. My sinuses are still suffering.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how long it takes to start working, but it's worth a try...and it's good for you anyway!
DeleteThat's a lot of packages! I remember that you treat your mail lady nice though! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad Star is doing well, and that she found a friend in Slate.
I keep reading that about allergies too, and mine have also been better than ever. I eat some yogurt, but not daily. Whatever is helping, I'm happy!
I do show my appreciation...even though it is her job. It's probably time to surprise her with another treat, too!
DeleteI'm happy about my allergies, too! Usually my eyes are too bad to wear my contacts many days during the spring!
Your this and that days always bring a smile or two. I find my self scrolling up and down several times to just take it all in.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to tell a funny story tonight. :)
DeleteStar is acclimating so well and so fast. She's finally found her forever home. Wonder how old she is. Slate is such a good all around boy, isn't he? So glad Star has picked out the best buddy. Lynne in NC
ReplyDeleteShe's really doing well and looks a tiny bit better every day. She trots from room to room and let out her first meow this morning.
DeleteSlate is amazing...he's one of those once in a lifetime cats. :)
I think she might be older....at least her teeth look old to me. It's hard to tell in her condition!
DeleteI kind of got that impression from the area around her nose. It looks kind of worn. Of course, as you say, it could be the life she's led. Maybe a better question is how many of her 9 lives she has left. :-)
DeleteHer face is looking better. She lets me wipe her eyes a few times a day. I think she just has those teary Persian cat eyes that need to be cleaned. Thankfully she has black fur so they don't stain her face. That, along with whatever infection she had, irritated her face and I think she'd rubbed a lot of her fur off there. Also she hasn't pulled any of her fur out on her legs since Saturday, so that's a good sign she's feeling comfortable. :)
DeleteAnother fine collection photos... and cats. ;)
ReplyDeleteWell, thank you Andy! :)
DeleteAfrican daisies are new to me...and they look gorgeous!!! Love the colors of spring. :)
ReplyDeleteAren't they pretty with that purple center? I've never seen them before...and they're doing well in that planter!
DeleteCongratulations on the business! I love roaming through your Esty Shop.
ReplyDeleteLove the profile of Star. She is a girly girl!
She is girly. :) My favorite picture is that profile shot of her first day. Huge eyes!
DeleteThat grumpy face, though! It's cracking me up!
Beautiful fashion plate but thank goodness we don't have to dress like that eh?
ReplyDeleteOh, I know! I was trying to imagine cleaning house or baking in all of that!
DeleteAnd the time it would take to get dressed! Geesh!
Probiotics (like in yogurt) are good for lots of things. Glad they seem to be helping your allergies.
ReplyDeleteyes, they are good for a lot of things!
DeleteLove your 'This and That's - there is such joy in the small things. I try to notice and enjoy my own but I love reading yours too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, jenny...it really is the small things! :)
DeleteYour kitties are enjoying your porch swing and also helping with all the packages.
