Chocolate Egg Tray Repurposed

I got this old chocolate egg mold from the auctions last year.
I had a fun idea to use it as a drawer insert in my kitchen.
Fortunately it fit exactly in this drawer and now holds a few
small kitchen things like birthday candles and toothpicks.

I like the way it rests on the sides
and my cutting boards can still lay in the drawer!

    2. You are just one lucky lady aren't you? And as a bonus you've got me as a friend. Ha!

      Why rubber bands?

    3. Very lucky to have you as a friend!

Don't you keep rubber bands? I need one occasionally....

    4. Wanda's son makes and sells rubber band guns. You need one for your neighbors!

  4. Well that was fortuitous! Great idea and perfect fit - fun. But wait... does that mean no chocolate eggs will come to fruition? :-D

    1. I suppose it could always take a sudsy bath in the sink and go back to it's former life. ha.

    2. Saw your note about Peaches... :-( Keeping my fingers crossed. Poor laddie.

    3. Stopped in to the vet's office today to talk about Peaches. As soon as I can get him in a carrier, they will take a look at him. They'll put him out before taking him out of the carrier and give him a good check up and test for Feline Leukemia. If he has that or something else that is not curable, they will put him down while he's sleeping. If they can help, they will! So at least now a plan is in place.

    4. I'm so glad. I really hope it works out. I didn't know they could anaesthetize them while still in the carrier. That would help a lot. Poor kittie - praying for Peaches.

    5. Yes...a shot through the opening to put them to sleep. They everyone is safe while they work on him.

  8. I came to visit and then had to go back and look at Pinterest because I was pretty sure I'd seen this there a little earlier this afternoon. (I've been half asleep since I got home even with a cup of coffee...) I do love little ways to get organized... or at least try. Mostly I just try, but I have some very handy squatty canning jars holding things like push pins and paperclips. They're short and squatty and fit nicely in a drawer, even a short drawer. Yeah for being squatty!

  9. What a perfect spot for it. Love the oval egg shapes...holds better than squares. I really love organized kitchen drawers. I work real hard to keep them that way.
