Don't Take Life Too Seriously...

...Nobody gets out alive."

In light of that Elbert Hubbard quote, I played with my food today.
A little raspberry forest.

And some other things that made me smile lately....

  1. A little snake watching.
  2. The sunrise this morning.
  3. Last night looking outside and seeing Peaches sunning himself.  He came running as soon as he heard my voice!
  4. Spring sky.
  5. Spencer, so excited to receive a railway magazine from Keith.
  6. Clean and organized jewelry.  Now I can find what I'm looking for!
  7. This little surprise.  A lost dog at my back door.  She must have heard we'd help her get home, which we did.  But not before I endured 20 minutes of incessant barking, guarded the cat flap (she saw Nugget through the glass!), kept Slate from going out the flap, and wished The Mister would get home to help since I couldn't leave the flap, had Harry in the tub, Socks and Velvet up in the tree, dinner on the stove, and wasn't having any luck reading the middle tag on that collar while she kept jumping as high as I am tall. Whew!
  8. Groceries, making a pretty still life.

  2. I see a kitty under a ship! Also so glad that Peaches is more trusting - any day now! You have some very pretty jewellery - at first glance I thought, "Oh, more treasures for the shop!"

    1. The kitty is Samantha. :) Yes, Peaches...I almost cried when he came running! Yay! He also took bites of chicken from my hand. Still looks awful, but we are almost there! Wouldn't let me pet him but still, it's looking good!

    2. I got teary seeing Peaches sunning himself. I do so hope he is a "success!" I was pretty sure that was Samantha, but didn't see her name in the labels - kitties, kitties everywhere. Do you sometimes take photos and not even realize one has snuck in? Ha!
If I had to be lost in a forest... I would love to be lost in a raspberry forest.
When I first saw the jewellery I thought, "Oh, some more treasures in the shop!" Better keep my hands to myself - grin.

  5. I take it your cats aren't frightened of snakes? Is it poisonous?

    1. No, they aren't frightened. It was a common garter snake...not harmful. And they were kind to it!

  15. Are the cats staring down that snake or is the snake staring down the cats. Either way.....OMG!!!! Run!!! I'm scared to death of them. And guess what? I was backing out of my garage today and right there in my flower bed was a big ole black snake. I yelled......OMG!!! I sent Cliff a text and a picture and told him to hurry up and come home and kill it. He did, neither! OMG!!!
