I escaped to an auction today!
When I got home, more old flooring had been removed!
All of the base cabinetry had been installed,
along with the new sink, although the plumbing isn't done yet.
Everything is perfectly level, ready for the stone
men to come measure for the counter tops in the morning!
♥
Getting there!
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to see something new go in!
DeleteLooking good! So nice to see with cabinets in - how exciting.
ReplyDeletePoor man...I think it will be smooth sailing after he gets up the rest of that plywood glued to the floor.
DeleteHis work is labour in the true sense of labour, isn't it? You are fortunate to have someone you trust, who is reliable, and knows what the heck he is doing! Yay, Kris!
DeleteOh yeah. ..so nice. ..He is a great guy. ..trust him completely.
DeleteWhat an improvement already . . . . gosh how exciting!!! I feel it even from here across the pond.
ReplyDeleteThe stone men . . . . not Fred Flintstone and Barney lol . . . . let's see . . . are you having black granite work tops? . . . just a deduction !! . . . :)
Hope your day at the auction went well . . . :)
no to granite....no to black! haha.
DeleteOh . . . you are such a tease!!! . . . . making us wait . . . . hahaha!
DeleteYep! ha.
DeleteOh, yippee!!! Your sink is gorgeous! Can't wait to see the fixtures you picked out!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the sink! Had to laugh at Spencer tonight, though. The sink isn't hooked up to plumbing yet...just two open holes in the bowls. Spencer drank half his glass of water and dumped the rest down the sink...which just spilled into the new cabinet below. Oh dear..
DeleteWell it looks a little less
ReplyDeleteLike it is a big mess haha
Getting there even without a working sink
Pretty soon it will no longer be a dust rink haha
A dust rink is a good name
Deleteas we play the reno game.
Every stinking inch of this house needs
to be wipe, dusted and scrubbed clean.
lmao have fun with that
DeleteHave to tie a duster to each cat
That's a great idea
DeleteBut I think they would all say "see ya!"
I wouldn't want to live through this myself, but it is fun to vicariously experience this through you. It is kind of like watching a live version of This Old House. :)
ReplyDeletevicariously is always more fun! ha.
DeleteMore cabinets... and that sink! How very exciting!
ReplyDeleteIt's starting to take shape!
DeleteProgress is always good!
ReplyDeleteYes, definitely! It's always nice when you don't have to imagine...the real things are so much better!
DeleteLove, love the sink!!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving that sink, too! So fun!

ReplyDeleteIt will be fun to see the progression from start to finish!
DeleteI think really look better Betsy:))
ReplyDeleteIt is a little bit better already!
DeleteWow.. it's coming along nicely. How in the heck do you get contractors to show up four days in a row? ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha. .well he isn't going to be here today so he broke the good streak.
DeleteLooking good there Betsy... looking good.
ReplyDeleteGetting excited!
DeleteYay, progress for sure!!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing what a few cabinets can do!
DeleteHi Betsy - I like the N for new on the sink!! I bet it was a relief to escape for a while ... still it's moving on apace - which obviously is a good thing .. cheers Hilary
