Kitchen Reno Day Five

Some progress to be seen today as the upper cabinets were installed!
The rest of the plywood was ripped from the floor,
and some plans were made for some of the cabinets
which will contain lights.

One more cabinet to go over the refrigerator.
A piece of the old counter, the old sink and faucet came back so
we could function a bit better.  Funny thing about that, I didn't
realize that would happen and threw out the stopper to the sinks!
So, I still washed from a plastic bucket last night. haha.
Thankfully I remembered to pick one up today while I was out.
A dollar well spent.

Here's the view when you step in the house from the front door. ha.

And here's my view from the makeshift kitchen
I set up in the living room.  Oh my!

Just a bit more of that plywood left to tear up in the foyer!
Then we're on to paint and new floors!

Once there isn't any more dust created, I can start
washing up everything in the house.
That part, I'm actually looking forward to...restoring some order!

I escaped the mess today and even thought it literally
rained cats and dogs on me all day long, I enjoyed
some shopping, lunch and errands.
Things are looking up!
I might even get my dishwasher connected soon. ha.

  7. Well it looks better than before
Maybe not the clutter at your shore haha
Those nerves have got to be shot
With the dust and its evil plot
Cats could rain on you with ease
But dogs? Geez adding more to your zoo to tease

  8. Betsy, knowing how punctiliously neat and tidy you are, this must really be driving you crazy. But you can already start to see how nice this will look when it's all done.

  16. Definitely coming on a treat!
In the old days of the Soviet Union none of the baths or basins ever had a plug (stopper?) so regular travellers used to pack a small rubber ball.
