  3. Gosh Betsy, you have been busy.
Particularly liked to little red bird - is it a carnival?
    Very eventful weekend, eh! :)

    1. That little bird is a house finch!
It was eventful...all that work at home and a
cyber dance at your place! ha.

    2. Which bit did you enjoy the most?

    3. Sleeping late and having a second cup of coffee in bed. :)

    4. Those hot dogs look delicious - I could scoff a few of them down right now :)

    5. Well, come over for lunch. There was a few left over! I don't have any picalilly, though. ha.

    6. Well I'll bring some brown sauce instead! :)

  4. What a great weekend. I love your new camera. You photo's are just "jaw dropping" good. I love "black" hotdogs. Everyone else in our family thinks they are burned...not me. Also like mayo and mustard...no ketchup. My quirk! When I think of your snow pictures, and now these..I'm amazed at the contrast. I think people who live in the snow and then see Spring...appreciate it more than us CA. people.
    Love your porch scene.

    1. Well, thanks! I'm finally feeling like it's my camera and I can pick it up with it feeling natural and not panic because I don't know the setting to choose. ha. I don't like how big and bulky it is or having to switch lenses, but the photos are making it all worth it! I do love the shots I can get of the birds....I feel a bird calendar coming on! ha.

I was thinking as I made those hot dogs how different the toppings are according to regions of the country or people's tastes. If it was in the south, they would put cole slaw on it. Pennsylvania would do kraut. Chili dogs are popular here. Mayo is new to me...but I've been known to put it on my hamburger. haha.

      Delete
    2. I do like kraut dogs, and chili dogs, but not a ketchup fan, so my hamburgers are mayo and mustard too and lots of grilled onions.

      Delete
    3. I wonder if ketchup is a regional thing, too. I love my ketchup...especially on fries. But I love mayo, too...even extra on sandwiches!
      Getting hungry again! ha.

PS- I'm with Wanda. I always put mayo on my dogs. No mustard for me though - just mayo and catsup!

    2. Our toes do find their way into our photos, don't they? haha.

      Delete
    3. Hey Eddie....
Do you mean "both" toes......or both of us? Hahaha!
Great looking feet are a definite asset.....right?

      Delete
    4. Both! . . . . that is Both sets of Betsy's toes although she seems posses only 9 toes in the picture, . . . . AND your 10 toes which I have seen 2 or 3 times now . . . . . AND both of YOU as well! . And, I would recognise your toes anywhere if I saw them.

And listen, both of you! They did a grand job at my ballroom propelling you round the dance floor!! LOL

Yes they are a definite asset on a woman - but my wife used to hate feel!

  15. Great photos - I can see your weekend unfolding. So hard to choose, but one of my favourites is the weather vane and fences. Oh so idyllic. And I think the boys' expressions are very sweet. Yummy hot dogs! And such a lovely, rustic hanging planter with woven twigs. Pretty. Did Mr. Toad come back for another cuddle?

Here is a cool link to the fellow who came up with the Alka Seltzer ad: http://madmensch.com/2010/04/try-it-you%E2%80%99ll-like-it-71-part-1-of-3/

    1. I love that view, too....it's part of the three window view at my kitchen desk. The left is the tree and bird feeder and the middle one is the fence/weather vane/bird bath. If things grow too much more, my view will be blocked! I'll have to get my gardener out there with some pruning shears...although that is always dangerous as he gets a little carried away! lol....

Yes, Mr. Toad is still around! I wonder if there is a Mrs. Toad. I'd love to see babies!

      Delete
    2. I like Mr. Stone Bunny too - he is very regal. Is that a banana loaf with nuts? Looks tasty. SO nice to have your own personal gardener!

      Delete
    3. I love mr. bunny! Remember 30 years ago when everyone was getting the stone gooses? Well, down here they were anyway. I got a rabbit....I had to be different, you know. And no, I didn't get outfits for it like people did their gooses. lol.....

    4. Yes, banana bread with butterscotch chips and peanuts. I usually use pecans but didn't have any. This was good, too!

    1. Too bad I didn't have my camera handy when I was helping them get dressed. He must have thought they shrunk. Hilarious! He's gotten used to them now. It reminds me of seasonal changes. When they put on a short sleeved shirt for the first time they stop suddenly and look at their arms. Same thing with shorts...always makes me laugh.
