My, you have been busy haven't you?
Very busy...but all fun stuff! Lovely weather, too.
Wow! Has that ever happened? I don't think so!
Gosh Betsy, you have been busy.Particularly liked to little red bird - is it a carnival?Very eventful weekend, eh! :)
That little bird is a house finch! It was eventful...all that work at home and acyber dance at your place! ha.
Which bit did you enjoy the most?
Sleeping late and having a second cup of coffee in bed. :)
Those hot dogs look delicious - I could scoff a few of them down right now :)
Well, come over for lunch. There was a few left over! I don't have any picalilly, though. ha.
Well I'll bring some brown sauce instead! :)
Brown sauce. hmm....I have no idea what that is. ha.
What a great weekend. I love your new camera. You photo's are just "jaw dropping" good. I love "black" hotdogs. Everyone else in our family thinks they are burned...not me. Also like mayo and mustard...no ketchup. My quirk! When I think of your snow pictures, and now these..I'm amazed at the contrast. I think people who live in the snow and then see Spring...appreciate it more than us CA. people.Love your porch scene.
Well, thanks! I'm finally feeling like it's my camera and I can pick it up with it feeling natural and not panic because I don't know the setting to choose. ha. I don't like how big and bulky it is or having to switch lenses, but the photos are making it all worth it! I do love the shots I can get of the birds....I feel a bird calendar coming on! ha.I was thinking as I made those hot dogs how different the toppings are according to regions of the country or people's tastes. If it was in the south, they would put cole slaw on it. Pennsylvania would do kraut. Chili dogs are popular here. Mayo is new to me...but I've been known to put it on my hamburger. haha.
I do like kraut dogs, and chili dogs, but not a ketchup fan, so my hamburgers are mayo and mustard too and lots of grilled onions.
I wonder if ketchup is a regional thing, too. I love my ketchup...especially on fries. But I love mayo, too...even extra on sandwiches!Getting hungry again! ha.
These pictures depict a peaceful, happy holiday weekend.
It was peaceful! We only left the house for church Sunday morning and the rest of the time just enjoyed being at home!
Looks like a wonderful weekend! I love the smiles. :)PS- I'm with Wanda. I always put mayo on my dogs. No mustard for me though - just mayo and catsup!
You two are making me want to try the mayo! Maybe on the leftovers tomorrow...
Try it, you'll like it! (Remember the old ad?)
Yes...but I can't remember what the ad was for! ha.
Just looked it up! Alka-Seltzer!
Betsy we put mayo and mashed avocado and your hotdogs look yumm!Dito love keptchup in hot dogs. And espe like veggie you know eat the bread with tomato and mashed avocado! Ha!Here is a crazy house:)Love all your pics Im agree your camera is awesome:)
I'm going to have to try that avacado! That sounds really good!
I rthink you would love :)
I think I would, too! I love anything with avocado in it!
Never tried mayo or avocado on a "dog" - sounds good!
It would be a whole new dog! haha. I might have to try that for lunch tomorrow. I'll let you know. ;)
Please do! Also, I think the Spencer/sock post would be most amusing! I am still smiling over that one. <3
Dears when I make dogs I serve with chopped tomatoes, mayo,.mashed avocado and of course I have keptchup for Dito. And all eat the dog with they like:)
That would be a Chilean dog....not to be confused with chili dog. hahaha...OK...I had one! It was delicious! A totally different meal for sure and a very nice change! I loved the tomatoes on it, too. Great idea to round out the whole thing!
With avocado, mayo and chopped tomato they call italian dog lolI dont know why!
Seriously? Oh, that's so funny!
Great pictures, Betsy- looks like a lot of beauty and time together . . . what more could one ask for? :)
Yep...relaxing at home...the most restful kind of holiday! Did you have a nice one?
This post just screams the onset of summer. Lovely pics.
Thanks, dear....yes, it does feel like the kick off to summer, doesn't it?

We both had lovely weekends♥️Love the Toadstools!Cheers!Linda :o)Ps.....those toes look familiar...tee hee hee!
I don't think we've ever had toadstools before! They're everywhere! Little fairy umbrellas. ha.
Our toes do find their way into our photos, don't they? haha.
They are both lovely too! lol
but of course you do. ha.
Hey Eddie....Do you mean "both" toes......or both of us? Hahaha!Great looking feet are a definite asset.....right?
Both! . . . . that is Both sets of Betsy's toes although she seems posses only 9 toes in the picture, . . . . AND your 10 toes which I have seen 2 or 3 times now . . . . . AND both of YOU as well! . And, I would recognise your toes anywhere if I saw them. And listen, both of you! They did a grand job at my ballroom propelling you round the dance floor!! LOLYes they are a definite asset on a woman - but my wife used to hate feel!
yum the hot dogs look great....just got home from a weekend in the mountains...was great to get away....looks like you had a great weekend among family as well...
Glad you got to get away! Is school out?
It's so nice to be able to leave doors open when the weather is wonderful and to expose the toes!
Exactly! We've had a lovely breeze, low humidity...and happy toes! The bruise is gone, too! haha.
picture-postcard perfect :-)
It was a perfect weekend weather wise. Almost too good to be true. Makes you wonder when the humidity is going to hit and make me cranky. haha.
Great photos - I can see your weekend unfolding. So hard to choose, but one of my favourites is the weather vane and fences. Oh so idyllic. And I think the boys' expressions are very sweet. Yummy hot dogs! And such a lovely, rustic hanging planter with woven twigs. Pretty. Did Mr. Toad come back for another cuddle? Here is a cool link to the fellow who came up with the Alka Seltzer ad: http://madmensch.com/2010/04/try-it-you%E2%80%99ll-like-it-71-part-1-of-3/
I love that view, too....it's part of the three window view at my kitchen desk. The left is the tree and bird feeder and the middle one is the fence/weather vane/bird bath. If things grow too much more, my view will be blocked! I'll have to get my gardener out there with some pruning shears...although that is always dangerous as he gets a little carried away! lol....Yes, Mr. Toad is still around! I wonder if there is a Mrs. Toad. I'd love to see babies!
I like Mr. Stone Bunny too - he is very regal. Is that a banana loaf with nuts? Looks tasty. SO nice to have your own personal gardener!
I love mr. bunny! Remember 30 years ago when everyone was getting the stone gooses? Well, down here they were anyway. I got a rabbit....I had to be different, you know. And no, I didn't get outfits for it like people did their gooses. lol.....
Yes, banana bread with butterscotch chips and peanuts. I usually use pecans but didn't have any. This was good, too!
What a beautiful weekend!
It sure was! Hope yours was happy!
A beautiful collage of a beautiful weekend...it's been a while Betsy since I've been around..it's so nice to see that all is well. You have a beautiful home & garden.
Katherine, it's so great to see you! Yes, we're just plugging along...taking one day at a time! Hope you are well!
Betsy you sure do know how to photograph some simple things and turn them into a great photo shoot.
Thanks, Andy! There's beauty in everything, right? Well, almost everything..lol....
Lovely photos of your daily happenings, Betsy..beautiful colours..loved the bird so much and the smiling boys..xoxo
I'm really loving that little bird, too! He's such a sweet thing and always talking!
You really captured the mood of your nice Memorial Day with all these shots. Glad to see Mr. Toad making another appearance in your blog. :) Haha, I can just picture Spencer's face... "what's with these socks?"
Too bad I didn't have my camera handy when I was helping them get dressed. He must have thought they shrunk. Hilarious! He's gotten used to them now. It reminds me of seasonal changes. When they put on a short sleeved shirt for the first time they stop suddenly and look at their arms. Same thing with shorts...always makes me laugh.
I'm surprised you had time to take all those photos. :)
hmm...I thought you knew me better than that. :)
Why, because you're such a snap-aholic?
sorry...too many pics for you today? Next post only has three....
Too many? Oh, no! I love your photos.
Who ever cooked those hot dogs - perfect . . .
Seems to have been a happy mixture! Of course I liked cats & kids best! And birds, and food, and flowers...In fact everything!
I'm serving coffee! Stay and chat! And no awards, please! Your comments are my awards!
