Cadbury Flakes

Back in October when I showed a picture of my Trick-Or-Treat
basket full of candy, Vincent asked where the Flakes were.
Amy said if Vincent knew Flakes, he really was English.
Of course I'd never heard of Flakes, but went to youtube
and watched a few of their adverts, which are very entertaining. :)
Well, look what came in the mail from England yesterday!
A bag of Flake bars!

Maybe they should be called twigs...or branches? Bark? ha.
Seriously, I've never seen such a thing!
They claim to be "The Crumbliest, Flakiest Milk Chocolate"
and yes, they do live up to their name.
They should not be eaten by messy children (or men) indoors.
Outside would be much better! haha.

And they're delicious Cadbury chocolate that melts in your mouth.
There are only 6 left and I refuse to say who has eaten 3 of them.
So, thank you, Amy!  What a sweet surprise!
She made the pretty Christmas card and wrote in it that
she sent the big bag so I'd have plenty to share.
Share?  Um, what?

  3. I remember those Cadbury Flake adverts. (Nice lady).
You might be interested to know I live in Keynsham, near Bristol, and we had until recently one of the two Cadbury Chocolate factories, built in 1923, originally as Frys Chocolates. Unfortunately it was taken over by Kraft and all production shipped to Poland and now the factory is closed. What a shame - it was a major employer, They also make Crunchie Bars - delicious.

Don't drop the crunchies or the flakes otherwise they will end up as crumbs LOL
We used to tell the kids a silly joke when they were little:
      Q. What did the man say when the steam roller ran over his sandwiches
      A Crumbs LOL

Oh! I would imagine that Cadbury Flakes are still made and marketed.

Some of Cadbury's chocs are made in Bournville (Head Office) and the rest are made in Poland now

I have to add that you would probably like a Yorkie Bar. I'm quite sure those are only here in England! But you're sweet enough without all this candy, angel.

  15. Hi Betsy - they are wonderful chocolates - I usually only have them stuck in an ice-cream cone .. it certainly improves that version of the ice-cream ... but they're good crushed and sprinkled over cakes and puds ... Lucky you and look how enlightened you now are! Cheers Hilary
