snug in bed this morning
- The boys got up at the crack of dawn all during Thanksgiving Break. But today, when vacation was over, they slept late! I had to resort to tickles and removing blankets to get them going!
- Squirrels will always raid a bird feeder. How could we possibly have a squirrel when we have 14 cats??
- Wearing your hair down on a windy day and chewing gum is not a good combination. No, my gum didn't blow out into my hair, but my hair did blow into my mouth and stick on the gum. ha. Felt like a kid. haha.
- Baking cookies makes your house smell wonderful.
- I experienced my first Cyber Monday as an online shop owner. Fourteen sales total isn't all that bad, I'm thinking, for my lowly little shop of second hand stuff. :)
- Catnip will make even the most stoic of cats throw all dignity out the window and roll around on the floor with glee.
- Gave the boys long overdue haircuts last night. I took the sheet that caught all of the hair outside in the dark and shook it out. When I went outside this morning to fill the bird feeder, that lump of hair was so big I thought it was an animal! ha. Need a strong wind to come by...
- I'm loving these crisp fall days...perfect for making soup for dinner!
- I'm working an auction this coming Wednesday. Sounds like a huge one with an estate who's owner collected 100 clocks and historical memorabilia, including a letter written and signed by George Washington in 1791! Hope I have time to take some photos!
- I cleaned out the coat closet today. Now all the scarves and gloves are organized and the coats are orderly. I found my old forgotten rabbit fur ear muffs. Hmm. Maybe I better not show them to Nugget. lol.
- OK..I'll stop now before you think I'm too crazy. But you already knew that, right? ha.
♥
I can see those haircuts...
ReplyDeleteJust under the covers!! ha ha ha...
Put some paprika in your bird seed...
The pesky squirrels DO NOT LIKE IT!!!
Enjoy your evening...
FIRST...FIRST...FIRST
But....certainly not the last...
Cheers!
Linda :o)
No kidding...paprika? Wow! And the birds don't care? Amazing. Makes me want to go out there in the dark and shake some on there! haha. I guess it can wait until daylight. :) Thanks for the tip!
DeleteOr a mixture of chili peppers...cayenne..
DeleteI am at my wits end with our red squirrel...
Empties the feed in minutes...
The hot herbs don't bother the birds at all..
I have even rubbed vaseline up the poles..they hate that too!!!
hahahahahahahahaha...take that, red!!
so red squirrels don't mind red chili peppers? ha.
Deletewell mine is a common grey one...maybe he'll scat!
I love this picture. always touched me when I see the kids sleeping!!
ReplyDeleteI know! They looked so sweet I went and got my camera before I woke them up! :)
DeleteBetsy I love when mine sleep too! they look so sweet!
DeleteYou really cut their hair lol
yep....you remember when Harry's curls were bothering him so he cut it himself? haha. Well, he's been eyeing those curls in the mirror like he didn't like them! I thought I better do it before he got a hold of the scissors! ha.
DeleteLook nice ditto has the hair short now:-)
DeleteI kind of like it longer...they have nice curls, especially Harry. But the bedhead is terrible. haha. Shorter is easier!
DeleteThose boys are sweet all rolled up together. I do hope you get to take some photos of the upcoming auction. Sounds like a good one!
ReplyDeleteI suppose they will always sleep that way! We've tried many times to separate them. ha.
Deleteaw sweet picture of your sleeping boys!
ReplyDeletewe have those pesky squirrels too! It helps if I have an ear of corn on a tree far away from the bird feeder. We have fed them cayenne already which seemed to help.
Agree with number 8! Love soup! I posted one today.
Sounds like a fun and interesting auction!
I wouldn't mind feeding the squirrel, too, but he can empty a feeder in 20 minutes! ha. I'll try the cayenne...if the birds all run for the birdbath for a drink, though, I'll know it's too much! haha.
Deletegoing to check out your soup! ;)
Awww the boys all tucked in... that is so sweet. Do they pull the covers off each other when they turn over, like my dearest does to me. HaHa
ReplyDeleteWhat a busy day... I had one too. Fall decorations are down, and some of the Christmas is up. Decorated my front porch, and put the red throw and pillows on the couch. Tomorrow Don will tackle the loft in the garage for the rest of my Christmas stuff.
You, too? lol....I have to have a death grip on the blankets or he'll steal them all! I always tell him he rolls up like a mummy each time he turns over! :)
DeleteThe only Christmas decor I've done is taking the fall wreath off of the front door. Does that count? haha...later this week I'll have to get busy on that.
Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!
ReplyDeleteBusting my gut from laughing so much.
That picture was my first laugh and then the gum? Well, that is just the funnest!
Catnip and haircuts... oh my!!! Still laughing!
So glad I can amuse you. ha. I amuse myself, actually! lol....
Deletethat lump of hair outside had frost on it this morning, too. It looks like a furry rodent. HA!~
Oh, stop! You are so funny!
DeleteHey, will your "friend" be at this auction? (the old guy)
I don't know if he will be there or not! haha.... He only comes if there is silver to buy. I don't remember seeing any listed on the auction website for Wednesday. He just makes me smile! ha. :)
Deleteha you need to have a talk with the cats...and lol on the boys....mine tried to pull much the same this morning....smiles...and def loving the crisp mornings...
ReplyDeletea talk...ok, I'll try that ! lol!
DeleteSmoke was missing for 2 days (last litter) and we heard him crying tonight and found him in the heat register. Don't ask...because I have NO idea. He was hungry but otherwise fine. Geesh!
I've tried a lot of remedies to keep the squirrels out of the bird seed. None worked.
ReplyDeleteOh, don't say that! ha.
DeleteBetsy I just came across your blog through Brian ^ and wanted to say that I really love it!
ReplyDeleteWell, thanks, Keith! I'm so glad you stopped by!
DeleteA picture says 1,000 words. So sweet.
ReplyDeleteWe have one dog and no squirrels, would you like to borrow Bugsy?
Well, you know I would! :) Wonder what Bugsy would think of the cats! hahaha
DeleteHi Betsy .. do the boys do "three in a bed, and the little one said roll over?" ... I suspect that's not an option - sounds like your usual kind of day ... but tomorrow's auction should be amazing and I sure hope you can get some photos in .. that will be a good report back post (or two or three!) .. cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteYes, I'll give a report! Should be fun..if not crazy and busy! lol....
DeleteThe boys look so cute sleeping as "one". I wonder if when one turns over do the other two turn within a few minutes. Somehow it just reminded me of how they must have been while you were carrying them.
ReplyDeleteDon't know anything about squirrels but I do hope you get some great pictures to share with us at the auction. Looking forward to them.
Oh and love the haircuts.
God bless.
yes, it seems like they do that....turn over at the same time. ha. Carrying them...ugh...what a load of baby! hahaha.
DeleteAwwww love the pic and the smell of baking cookies!! Take care
ReplyDeletex
thanks, kitty! :)
DeleteThat is the cutest photo of the boys with their little heads all in a row sleeping in!! Look forward to hearing about that auction!
ReplyDeletethanks, tanna....I'll give a full report, of course! :)
DeleteNahhhhh, #11's too easy! I'll behave, doll!
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of the three boys sleeping in the same position ... so sweet! I too love this time of year for making soup ... yum!
ReplyDeleteYeah crazy as can be
ReplyDeleteAs you are the crazy cat lady hahaha
That squirrel must be quite clever
To survive such an endeavor
And how rude
Blow the hair of your brood
To your tightie whitie neighbors yard
Hopefully you at least give him a xmas card hahaha
Be sure to look out for something of worth
Could be a millionaire with one of those rare eggs scattered across earth
What a great picture of your snoozing trio! Good luck at that auction...maybe you will find a treasure or two for yourself. Yes, pictures would be nice; I always enjoy "going" to the auction with you.
ReplyDeleteI've been busy grannying this week and missed lots of your posts so I'm just catching up. Your comment about hair in your mouth made me laugh. I used to have really short hair but now I wear it in a bob. I like it, but the way it blows in the wind and sticks to my lip gloss drives me mad!
ReplyDeleteYour first photo could double as a Norman Rockwell scene, Betsy. How sweet yoir sons look sleeping in the same position.
ReplyDeleteI love cyber Monday! It's the way I've shopped for years now as I send most of my gifts cross country. It save on shipping and trips to the mall and post office!
Oh they look so sweet!
ReplyDeletethe dinner sounds delicious Betsy!
ReplyDeleteI had some errands too but yours are morefunny:))
Your photo made me smile. Gotta love those boys!
ReplyDeleteUm, my question is how do you have any birds with 14 cats?
Soup for dinner. Yup, just what's cookin'.
What a great picture of the boys all snuggled
ReplyDeletein their bed!!
Can't blame them!!
What a nice shot of the boys
ReplyDeletethanks, lady! :)
DeleteHa, that is so funny that the boys were up early during the holidays and slept in now that they are back to school. Smart boys! :)
ReplyDeleteyeah, I'd say trying to sleep in on a school day is pretty typical for a teenager! ha.
DeleteWow three in a bed. Interesting.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I am sure they will enjoy those pictures. They will say.
Mom you put them on your blog page. You Have Got To Be Kidding.
I know my Grandboys would freak out.
sparkle...glad you stopped by. No, they won't freak....but being autistic would have a lot to do with that. :)
