Like my 9 cent sugar shaker?
Isn't thrift store shopping great?
It's not an antique or anything, but I have used it
already for topping sugar cookies, sprinkling sugar
over blackberries and adding a little sweetness to
the top of muffins before they went into the oven!
♥
I have a similar one! :)
ReplyDeleteOhhhh Paaaat! :p
Deleteyes you win :)
DeletePat will try to bury you
Deleteoh yes, it's true!

Deletenot you...I meant Rebecca because she was first!
Deleteohh fiuuuu!!
DeleteWell you both can be buried in the dirt
DeleteAnd with each other you can flirt haha
Deletesilly!!I told you. you have a mess on your brain!
Oh, so Gloria and I are buried in the dirt huh? And we're flirting with each other? I agree with Gloria ohhh fuuuu!!!!
DeleteYour ocd would go nuts
If you shopped the thrift--like a putz
A movie you might find
Or maybe lose your mind
When you brought it home and saw scuffs.
Then I would clean
DeleteUnless all sparkled at my scene
And you would still have fun in the sand
Bored enough to count each strand
oh dear you are really crazy:)))
Deletelooks like you all had fun and play
Deletewhile I was at the auction all day! ha.
You are my kind of shopper, Betsy...
ReplyDeleteGreat score!!!!
Cheers!
Linda :o)

DeleteGreat eye!!
ReplyDeleteI have just like it!! Somewhere!!!

DeleteI love this Betsy and look like antique!
ReplyDeletewell, if it is, I got a really good deal on it!
DeleteI want someone like this is nice and useful!
Delete9 cents is an odd price, but its worth a whole lot more!!
ReplyDeleteeverything at this one thrift store is priced ending in a 9. 9, 29 and 69 cents are all over the place!
Deletethrift stores rock....bought a couple christmas presents there this weekend...well at least some fun add ons...
ReplyDeleteI'm going to look there, too....can't beat it!
DeleteNow that's a find!!! I love it! And how practical...I was sure it was from the Auction...but that's tomorrow. What will you find there!!!
ReplyDeleteyes, tomorrow's finds are still a mystery! I hope people leave lots of 'trash' haha.
DeleteNow that's a great deal! I would love it!
ReplyDeleteso fun! I couldn't just leave it there, right? haha.
Delete9 cents? that is a great deal.
ReplyDeleteBut I would sure make a mess if I was adding sugar to my hot tea with your shaker :) I would like using it for cookies or strawberries or maybe cinnamon toast.
and I am looking forward to hearing about the auction with Pres. Washington's signature- I bet you will a big crowd of bidders
Oh, I would make a mess, too....that's what I have sugar cubes for. lol.... This is just for sprinkling.
DeleteCan you find movies that cheap too?
ReplyDeleteIf so I want to shop with you haha
Oh, you would be fun to shop with.
DeleteIf I made you leave the movie isle, you'd hiss!
Too bad we can't text internationally
I'd send you titles and prices occasionally!
You guys get many cheaper too
DeleteWhich I just go foo
Or worse than that
We'll go with Strat
Going all Blu-ray now at my sea
But only cheap ones as not many can be afforded at the moment by me
If your phone was a smart one
There are programs that are free to give texting a run
No matter the place
Where one goes to the rat race
my phone is not smart
Deletebut dumb as a dart.
ha.
Hi Betsy...I love your sugar shaker and I know you will be doing great things with it too! I have been gone for awhile, a new baby grandson came along and stole my heart! I am so looking forward to Christmas this year! Love ya. :)
ReplyDeleteyay...glad the new grandson arrived safely! How wonderful!
DeleteWow...what a bargain!
ReplyDeleteI know....couldn't pass that one up! The only thing better is free at the auctions! haha.
DeleteIt is a lovely object - enhanced by an excellent photograph which extracts its beauty like juice out of an orange.
ReplyDeleteAlan, dear...your eloquence is immeasurable. :)
Delete9 cents, wow. outstanding photo, love the isolation and dark background, but especially the shadow and the tiny reflections on the shaker itself. Very cool
ReplyDeleteFred, I love how you appreciate and notice all the little details...just like an artist would do!
DeleteSeveral years ago I launches an all out search for an old sugar jar... the ones like my Granddaddy poured copious amounts of sugar into his coffee with every morning... I never did find an old one, but I did find a new one (with a single spout... flapping lid). Thank you for reminding me of the memory of him fixing his coffee at the end of the table... =) blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteI have an old beautiful china one....yellow painted roses and a gold shaker top and the cork opening at the bottom. Too nice to use for every day...although I did for a while, which was fun! Love your memory....so sweet!
Deletelaunched... not launches. LOL
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day !
ReplyDeletePierre
thanks Pierre! :)
DeleteLove Sugar Shakers!
ReplyDeleteI found one for a gift.
Shhhhh...Kimmy is getting it for Christmas and I'm filling it with Cinnamon Sugar for morning toast.
You idea for cookies is brilliant.
That's a great gift idea...love that on toast, too....reminds me of my childhood! My lips are sealed! :)
DeleteNow there's a good idea for a Christmas gift. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYes...how fun! I bet I know who will be getting it, too! :)
DeleteThat is so sweet and such a deal too. I've not seen one of those in many years. Thanks for letting us see one.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
