Shots of Saturday

I escaped The Zoo to run errands alone this morning!
It's a beautiful day here in Ohio!  The humidity is gone and
the temperatures are comfortable.
Of course I had my camera with me.
I stopped at my favorite little sweet corn farm, too!

Flags are flying at half-staff.  Thinking of Colorado today. :(
I pass these barns a lot.  So pretty!
And the fountain is in the shopping center where I put gas in the Jeep.

It's always fun to drive by the little sky diving place.
And we had some much needed rain this week, which helped the dryness.

Still could use more rain, though.
I'm sure the horses think so...just look at that dry pasture!

Couldn't resist the Queen Anne's Lace!
Soft colors that I love, especially against that grey fence post!
Lovely!

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

    1. I was sick, you know, but hadn't been to the grocery yet this week and had other errands. So, I loaded up with cold medicine and Advil and coffee and went. It was very nice to get out alone. And I didn't feel too bad, either! I just took my time, too, which was nice.

  5. Glad you made a great escape
But have you ever donned a cape
And went for a sky dive
    And then come back alive?
Then you could be up with the clouds
And see close up their shrouds
Knowing what they really look like haha
Nice day out as you went on the picture hike

Well, I AM wonder woman, at any rate.
lol....actually that is not the sport for me
I would be terrified you see
Although I'm not afraid of heights
as long as I'm on something concrete to prevent frights.
Yes, I made the great escape
and it felt good to be alone ...actually great.
      hahaha.

  6. How nice to have a shopping trip with just you and your camera. What great pictures ~ I think I would like Ohio. My husband birthplace, but move to CA when he was 12 or 13. I'm so pooped...I had two grandsons and a hyper neighborhood boy for the weekend. How do you do it??? If I were a drinking woman, I think I would have one...Guess I'll stick to that Arnold Palmer. HaHa

  8. I passed through Ohio today, Betsy! I took many photos of beautiful white barns that were in farms along route 80. I'm on my way to Colorado to see my kids and grandkids and drop off my daughter's wedding gifts. The sad news in Aurora was so shocking and sad.

I love all your pretty photos!

  12. Beautiful pics, love the Lady Lace - i agree it makes a great colour scheme with that grey. I love those wide open skies, so much more open than here in our valley.

  13. Beautiful! Thanks for taking us along. I think it is just possible that western NY is drier than Ohio. I almost don't have a lawn anymore.

  16. Beautiful images of your surroundings. One can sense the sun and heat from your pictures, true summer. I miss summer, ours has been a total wash out. Terrible. The coldest and wettest for a while, will soon match the summer of 87, which was nicknamed *the green winter*.;)

  18. Very relaxing photos as I envision your drive to the shopping center.

My favorite photos are: #3 + #4 which seem to just go together. Great detail. #6 The barn with the sagging roof. And of course, the Queen Ann's Lace against the fence post. A very epic catch.
