I escaped The Zoo to run errands alone this morning!
It's a beautiful day here in Ohio! The humidity is gone and
the temperatures are comfortable.
Of course I had my camera with me.
I stopped at my favorite little sweet corn farm, too!
Flags are flying at half-staff. Thinking of Colorado today. :(
I pass these barns a lot. So pretty!
And the fountain is in the shopping center where I put gas in the Jeep.
It's always fun to drive by the little sky diving place.
And we had some much needed rain this week, which helped the dryness.
Still could use more rain, though.
I'm sure the horses think so...just look at that dry pasture!
Couldn't resist the Queen Anne's Lace!
Soft colors that I love, especially against that grey fence post!
Lovely!
I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!
♥
pretty horses...and lots of blue sky...glad you got a little time off from the zoo...smiles...i did not know until recently about the little flower in the middle of the lace...
ReplyDeletewell, see? You learn something new all the time! :) It's a weed...but I think it's lovely.
Deletesounds like a perfect Saturday! The Queen Anne's Lace looks amazing in that photo,
ReplyDeleteI knew you'd love it...it looks like something you would paint! Colors and all! :)
DeleteWow - Such gorgeous pictures! Looks like a perfect day and you captured it well.

ReplyDeleteall look amazing:)
I was sick, you know, but hadn't been to the grocery yet this week and had other errands. So, I loaded up with cold medicine and Advil and coffee and went. It was very nice to get out alone. And I didn't feel too bad, either! I just took my time, too, which was nice.
DeleteYes Betsy and I mail you to know how you feel O think is a vold.
DeleteIm happy you feel better.
I love go alone because relax me.
Love these blue skies here was a cloudy day.
yes, I love to shop alone and since I've been taking a boy with me each time,
DeleteI haven't been doing that! So today was very nice. I can think better when
I'm alone, too! ha. If I have someone with me I forget something!
Yes sometimes happens me th same:)
DeleteGlad you made a great escape
ReplyDeleteBut have you ever donned a cape
And went for a sky dive
And then come back alive?
Then you could be up with the clouds
And see close up their shrouds
Knowing what they really look like haha
Nice day out as you went on the picture hike
Have I donned a cape?
DeleteWell, I AM wonder woman, at any rate.
lol....actually that is not the sport for me
I would be terrified you see
Although I'm not afraid of heights
as long as I'm on something concrete to prevent frights.
Yes, I made the great escape
and it felt good to be alone ...actually great.
hahaha.
haha well I won't prob never jump either at my sea
DeleteAs I'd prob land and break something else on me haha
School is only another month or so away
Then you will once again have bac your bay
How nice to have a shopping trip with just you and your camera. What great pictures ~ I think I would like Ohio. My husband birthplace, but move to CA when he was 12 or 13. I'm so pooped...I had two grandsons and a hyper neighborhood boy for the weekend. How do you do it??? If I were a drinking woman, I think I would have one...Guess I'll stick to that Arnold Palmer. HaHa
ReplyDeletehaha...oh the neighbor boy was probably so fun for the grands...but an extra handful for you! Oh my!
DeleteYou will sleep well tonight! :)
sorry you feel sick! :( beautiful photos! those last four are my favorites, so peaceful and pretty! Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI feel so much better tonight!
DeleteI passed through Ohio today, Betsy! I took many photos of beautiful white barns that were in farms along route 80. I'm on my way to Colorado to see my kids and grandkids and drop off my daughter's wedding gifts. The sad news in Aurora was so shocking and sad.
ReplyDeleteI love all your pretty photos!
You did? Well, you had lovely weather for a road trip! Hope you have a wonderful time in Colorado with your family. How very fun!
DeleteYour corner of the world is one of the loveliest I've seen!
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you, G. Although, I have been to Toronto and it's very lovely, too!
DeleteYou used your time beautifully.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures!
This week we'll be back to having a boy come along, which is fun, too...just a different kind of fun. haha.
DeleteWonderful photos. I, too, love Queen Anne's Lace, such a lovely delicate bloom.
ReplyDeleteIt's one of my favorites...I love it mixed in a bouquet!
DeleteBeautiful pics, love the Lady Lace - i agree it makes a great colour scheme with that grey. I love those wide open skies, so much more open than here in our valley.
ReplyDeleteLady Lace? Oh, I like that name. :)
DeleteBeautiful! Thanks for taking us along. I think it is just possible that western NY is drier than Ohio. I almost don't have a lawn anymore.
ReplyDeleteWe did get rain this week which helped a little. Our front yard is completely gone...no shade and it gets the afternoon fun. :(
DeleteNice photos. Glad you had a few moments of serenity to get away. Hope you are all better now!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you appreciate what the few moments of serenity can do! ha.
DeleteGreat "shots of the day". Sounds like the weather was pleasant too. Mickie :)
ReplyDeletegrea
thanks, Mickie! The sky was gorgeous...I just had to take photos.
DeleteBeautiful images of your surroundings. One can sense the sun and heat from your pictures, true summer. I miss summer, ours has been a total wash out. Terrible. The coldest and wettest for a while, will soon match the summer of 87, which was nicknamed *the green winter*.;)
ReplyDeletexoxo
I hope you end up with some warm summer sun! Soon it will be fall! ha.
DeleteSomething about shot #6 that I just love...
ReplyDeleteI love that barn...it's not in use any longer, but sits close to the road and I always notice it! :)
DeleteVery relaxing photos as I envision your drive to the shopping center.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite photos are: #3 + #4 which seem to just go together. Great detail. #6 The barn with the sagging roof. And of course, the Queen Ann's Lace against the fence post. A very epic catch.
thanks, deb...you have a good eye, you know that? :)
