Napkin Holder

I pulled this wooden tray out of the auction trash a couple of weeks ago.
I needed a napkin holder and thought I'd try to give it a make over!

I mixed up some black and white craft paints (also from the auction trash!)
and gave it a single coat of dark grey paint.
Then I drew on a little decorative number on the end and used a paint pen to fill it in.

I think it's working out rather well! :)

The little green depression glass salt shaker was from the auctions, too!  But not the trash.  It was
in one of the boxes of vintage bottles that I bid on.  I think it's sweet, worn lid and all! :)

  12. Love the gray, and it looks so nice on the counter with all the neat items in the picture. I feel like I got to visit you kitchen. I bought a napkin holder at the thrift store a couple month's ago, that matches my kitchen with it's splashes of red.

    2. I bet you look nice in grey.. The picture of me and my sis I'm wearing grey with the new white, red and grey scarf I got for my BD. Usually my closet is shades of brown, beige, cream, etc..... My girls once said "Mom, your closet is boring...add some color for goodness sakes" HaHa so I have!
