Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
2 c sugar
4 eggs
1/2 c vegetable oil
4 T butter, melted
2 t vanilla
1 c cocoa
2 c flour
2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
In mixer, combine sugar and eggs. Add remaining wet
ingredients. Mix well. Sift dry ingredients and add, mixing well.
Dough will be wet and sticky. Chill several hours or overnight.
Roll balls of dough in 1 c powdered sugar.
Bake at 350 on parchment lined baking sheets for 8-12 minutes.
Cookies will flatten, get crackly and cracks will look dry.
Yum.

  7. They look amazingly delicious! I'll have to get my mom (a.k.a. Mommy2 from 2 Moms of a Feather)to make them! :) I would try, but I know I'll just end up burning them, miss an ingredient or something that will ruin them. I'm not the best of cookers or bakers. lol

  18. stevie ~ that's a little handpainted trivet I picked up a few years ago. It's dated '71...on it's way to being vintage soon enough! haha

  31. Betsy, I took china painting lessons for about a year in the early 80s. I recognized the look. I painted a about a dozen or more things, but most of them have gotten broken over the years. I still have my cherry plate, I think.
