  5. My mother in law had white carpet in her living room. Her three sons called it the museum and often said that all that was missing were the red velvet ropes to keep them out. They constantly teased her.I give her credit, somehow the carpet survived for years and so did the mom/kids relationship. A win, win for all!

  6. Anita ~ I grew up in a house with a living room like that. We weren't allowed to sit on the furniture! I much more prefer 'living' in all the rooms of our house...boys and all! LOL!

  7. Love the Erma Bombeck quote. I remember when my daughter bought white furniture, and then had four kids.... It didn't stay white, and was replaced with dark, dark green.

  9. I too just love the collection of images. The sheep can't be from around here - far too clean. TT greetings from Alan

  10. The cupcake looks so good and if I ate them while sitting on a white couch with a white carpet then no one would notice the crumbs. Okay, I would be afraid to eat anything under those circumstances. But one can dream.

Love those quotes from Erma Bombeck.

    God bless.

Oh I love Erma!!! I use to have a clipping from the newspaper about raising 3 children written by Erma. I have misplaced it and can't find it on the internet....have you ever read it? It is priceless....1st child has everything boiled and sterilized, 2nd child get paci wiped off, 3rd drinks from water hose, etc, etc, It is so funny and I could kick myself for losing it!

  28. Okay, I know just about EVERYONE said something nice about the picket fence and the piano, but I just can't help myself . . . I LOVE THOSE PICTURES! <3 Especially the piano because I play, and my piano keys are starting to look more and more like the one in the picture because it's VERY old and lots of little kids like to "bang bang bang" on it. :( But anyways, I like your blog . . . a LOT!:)

  33. Beautiful images (especially the cak!) and the quote made me laugh out loud. Why do people have white carpets??

    ReplyDelete
  34. True that. My carpet is a nice grey, well sort of brownish well worn stained grey Wish I could make cupcakes like that!
