into a jungle! Shrubs doubled in size in one month!
I'm sure our neighbors were glad to see some trimming
and removal of some past-their-prime bushes.
Me? I'd rather take pics and smile at them from
the window, enjoying the air conditioning. :)
And wouldn't you know they both got poison ivy
out there!? Taylor, being so sensitive to it, went
to the doctor today for a shot and prescription.
A few more weekends and the yard should be
looking pretty good. Now if I could just get them
to run the tiller in the garden as it's getting very
late for putting one in at all! LOL!
Wow, look at all that lovely green foliage! Calif is already starting to turn brown .. bummer! I think it's great that you can plant a garden, wish I had an emerald thumb!
ReplyDeleteHope T is feeling better!
Isn't it nice when you can watch?!!
ReplyDeletelucky you,
ReplyDeletehappy gardening to all!
oh no....poison ivy......it hates me/ha
ReplyDeletelove all the green...we got it to with thunderstorms every afternoon. its everything i can do to keep up with the grass..
ReplyDeleteperfect title for this happy duo....sorry about the poison ivy, so annoying!!
ReplyDeleteWell how nice that you have your Mister and Taylor to get your yard in order. Quite a sacrifice to get poison ivy.... I hope you didn't plant that!!! Does it just grow wild in peoples yards. I thought that was for the mountains, or forests.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, I much rather watch with my camera!!
A lot of rain and hot weather here, too. Nice that you have your "two favorite gardeners" to do the outside work while you enjoy the A/C.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and green- lovely pictures :)
ReplyDeleteI love this! The best part is I am right with you with the watching and taking pictures!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely gardeners you have there Betsy!! And how green does your garden grow!!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos!
Wanda ~ poison ivy grows everywhere here just like any weed! You learn at a young age how to identify it. ...or at least you're suppose to! ha. In this case, they saw it and removed it carefully, but still must have brushed against some.
ReplyDeleteWe've had our own jungle thinning going on too... as well as the poison ivy!
ReplyDeleteWhen you get your garden in give us a tour -- I've always wanted to see your garden.
It looks so lush and green! The poison ivy scares me though. I've never had it but my dad had terrible, terrible reactions to it as a kid. He loves to tell how he got it from a friend's duck once and that they took him in the back door to the drs. office so he wouldn't scare the other kids with his face being so messed up!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed my post. Really, sometimes you have to laugh or you'll cry!
Seems we went from a cool spring to hot weather overnight, doesn't it? Nice that your guys are out there getting things under control. Wish I could borrow them for my yard:)
ReplyDeleteNext to the manor gardeners of course, your's are the cutest ever.
ReplyDeleteIt's so lush and green! Oh my poison ivy is no fun!! Happy gardening!
ReplyDeleteNancy
Yikes! Poison Ivy! A non-fun thing for sure! I've been lucky so far!
ReplyDeleteGoodlookin' guys there! :) The Bach
And handsome too. I at times miss a pair of strong hands to help me with the heavier stuff in my garden.;))
ReplyDeletexo
Looking good! Keep up the work! Before you know it, it'll be all finished and you can reap the benefits. Xx
ReplyDeleteUnseasonably hot here too, as opposed to unseasonably cool last year! Send them my way when you're done with them...
ReplyDeleteZuzana ~ I bet you take full advantage when that Irishman comes to visit! ;)
ReplyDeleteFarmchick ~ watching is the BEST part! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy,
ReplyDeleteI am catching up. You are one busy gal. Love that pic of nugget.
Poison ivy- Bless their hearts. That is NO FUN at all.
Your drawing of the chick was right on. You have some serious talent girl.
Big hugs,
Barb
P.S. hope the itching is not too bad.
it so luscious looking!
ReplyDeletebummer about the poison ivy, glad it's okay now.
Betsy,
ReplyDeleteI'm in the same position. No garden yet. First the weather played a big factor and secondly time.
I remember Taylor got posion ivy since him and I are both of us are highly allergic to the ivy.
Good luck-
Cindy ~ oh, I remember your face last year! Thankfully his is all waist down....he's still miserable, though.
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful gardeners!!!! Keep 'em busy!
ReplyDelete2 of my boys did the same for me last Sunday Betsy, but in the cold rain of a freezing Winter's day. I now have a huge, bare garden bed ready to go, I'm rapt, bless them! Your 2 gardeners are going a mighty fine job, under your expert 'supervision'!
ReplyDeleteMillie ^_^
