Spicy Sweet Potato Chips

I watched Tyler Florence make these sweet potato chips on
The Food Network and had to try them! Taylor named them
as his 'new favorite'. They were easy and yummy!
The cold dip paired very nicely with the spicy chips!
The potatoes are sliced thin and fried at 350 for 5 minutes.
Then sprinkled with a blend of chili, garlic, cumin, kosher salt,
pepper and cayenne. The dip was sour cream, mayo, lemon juice
and a teaspoon of ranch dressing. (adapted recipe by me)
If you want the details you can go to the website.
Served with grilled flat iron steak and salad...yum, yum!

  2. I'd love to give these a try. I've never been a big fan of baked sweet potatoes or sweet potato casserole but spicy sounds just right. Yum.

  8. Kayren ~ yes, I have a little frier. I try not to get it out too often or we'd all gain 10 lbs! :) But it's great for things like this and I like that it has a temperature gauge.
