from my closet! It had actually never been painted and only
had a thin coat of builder's primer on it. After 20 years, it
was looking pretty sad!
to chew my shoes, and wrestling with the drop cloth!
He finally decided to take a nap in the corner while I worked.
I used a light blue just like I did when I freshened up
my kitchen pantry.
Looks great! I wish I could harness some of your industrious energy.
ReplyDeleteI love that Nugget.
MG ~ well, I don't know about that! The paint cans and rollers have been in the corner of the room since I did the bath! And as you can see, the wallpaper still needs to be stripped in the bedroom. Ugh. But...I am making progress, even if slowly!
ReplyDeleteDon't you love it when a job is completed? I don't know how you do all the things you do, with 5 men!!!!
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness, Bets, I've missed so much!
ReplyDeleteYour closet redoux and your new blog layout are so lovely! The only problem is that I am going to want to read every single..."You might like this story..."
I have my morning read with coffee planned out for tomorrow! I can't wait to catch up! :)
Big Hugs,
Ame
you deserve a blue closet ~looks very nice Betsy...
ReplyDeleteThat Nugget is making himself right at home on that drop cloth! The finished product looks fabulous. I still have the identical hatbox in my closet, too!
ReplyDeleteThat bedroom shot looks almost like mine did when we were getting packed up to move! It's kinda scary, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI love blue, so I love your color choice. I love the after pictures, too. It looks fantastic. I always love how everything looks right after it gets completely taken out and reorganized.
So Nugget just gets to walk around free? Nosy question, but does he use a litter box or something? I like him, not that I could have one with a cat, but maybe someday...but I'd have to know on the whole bathroom thing. What about stairs?
Kayren ~ yes, Nugget runs free! :) He has a cage but it only houses a litter box, food and water bottle. He's completely litter trained! Everything is on one floor in our house except for The Mister's office. He hasn't tried those stairs, suprisingly! But they are hardwood, slick and steep, so that may be deterring him.
ReplyDeleteIt really looks great, Betsy! I love your furry little helper:)
ReplyDeleteGreat job ! I love the new blue closet.
ReplyDeleteNugget is sooo cute and he looks really soft.
Have a good week-end.
Hugs~~~Leslie
Oh Betsy, I could use your motivation. My hall bathroom has had wallpaper 3/4s down for months now. I need to finish and paint. Then I need to make the shower curtain that I bought the fabric for around a year ago. I am such a procrastinator.
ReplyDeleteYour closet looks wonderful. Whenever I get some household job finished I return again and again just to admire my handiwork. Do you do the same?
It looks fabulous! I know every time you look in that closet in the days to come you will smile with this accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteThat Nugget is just ADORABLE!!! He is SOOOOO sweet!
Wow, did you manage to do all this in one day? I am so impressed.;)
ReplyDeleteNow I am too inspired for some spring cleaning and redecorating.;)))
I love the new picture in your header.;)) Hope you are having a great weekend.;))
What a great job. The closet looks really good.
ReplyDeleteStevie ~ Yes! I do the same...it's such a pleasure to go take a peak now and then and admire all the hard work! I know what you mean about half finished projects...you just get busy, aren't in the mood, and somehow the months go by and you have become used to the wallpaper only half off!
ReplyDeleteYour closet looks lovely! Excellent organizational skills!
ReplyDeleteMuseswings! Thank you! And you know my favorite part? There is NOTHING on the floor...I can actually run the vacuum in there now!
ReplyDeleteexcellent...ya wanna come help me reorganize? ;)
ReplyDeleteYour closet transformation is nothing short of perfect! I know how much more inviting it must be to go searching for that pair of shoes or sweater or skirt. Good job!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks great and it must feel so good to have everything so organized.
ReplyDeleteI usually dread the change of seasons as I have to store out of season clothes in my basement because of our small closets. That means everything must be washed and ironed before I can bring them up two flights of stairs, and all the present clothing has to be brought downstairs for storage. A big job!
Very nice. I like the white and blue as well. Crisp, clean, and organized. Just in time for Spring...Great job.
ReplyDeleteSilly, rabbit!
My bedroom looks like your did, before you put everything back in the closet. The only problem, my closet is overfull even with all of the clothes out of it.
ReplyDeleteI need HELP!!! LOL
bright blessings, closet looks fantastic!
Well done, it looks wonderful! I love the idea of the blue versus the white. I'm still planning to repaint and you've given me an idea. Nugget's a beautiful boy. :)
ReplyDeleteWow. thats looks so incredibly ORGANISED! Whoa. Seriously humbled here. Great job. Love it.
ReplyDeleteNice redo. You should be on HGTV!
ReplyDeleteWe just did the big closet redo a couple of years ago. I gave a lot to Goodwill so I didn't have so much to put back.
I like your blog. Your blog is the first I've seen with those links to other stories. I like that.
Brenda ~ giving all the old stuff to Goodwill instead of sticking it back in the closet is an excellent idea! I have a thrift store bag going continuously!
ReplyDeleteWow - doesn't your new closet look dashing! And, I must say, Nugget looks equally dashing on the black and white checkered cloth. He should be in pictures. I love how he stretches out his hind legs in the second shot - just hangin' in the hall... too cute!
