I'm almost too embarrassed to show this, but the
end result is so wonderful! I was going to clean out
the kitchen pantry today...remove everything and
wipe it out. But after everything was removed, it
was obvious that 20 years had taken it's toll!
The marked up walls, worn out shelf paper....yuck!
my left over paint cans and found a nice
blue-gray for the walls and white for the shelves.
Ahhhhh....every inch of my house needs this
kind of attention! At least this fun little project
only took the morning!
Of only all projects took on such fantastic results with so little time. Kudos.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a transformation. Now you'll be opening it often just to peek inside!
ReplyDeleteWow...that looks awesomee! What a change...and good for you for remembering to take pictures to share with us! :-) Wish my pantry looked like this! When I moved into my house, we had the walls painted but never did the closets since they were full of stuff. I'd hate for someone to see in my closets. Maybe I'll pick a closet and do this sometime. If I do one at the time...it won't be some overwhelming. Thanks for the inspiration. You HAVE got to post this for a Met Monday...it's perfect! Met Monday starts on January 19th...you can link to this post. I'm going to use Mr. Linky and it will be easy for you to link directly to this post. :-) Susan
ReplyDeleteWow, it looks really nice.
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful feeling of accomplishment ~hate to fill it up I bet!
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy, I will create a post that will go up early Sunday morning on January 18th. So anytime after that you can just go to my blog and add the direct link to your post, into the little Mr. Linky box that will be there. To get your "permalink" or the link that goes directly to this post, and not just your blog in general...you just right click on the title of this post and select "copy shortcut" and then paste that into the Mr. Linky box that will be available all day Sunday and Monday on my blog. I think a good many folks are going to participate so I'd add your link early on Sunday morning as you can...just to be toward the head of the list of folks participating. Next Monday, I will do a post explaining this all again. A lot of folks have used and are familiar with Mr. Linky, but some have not. It's really easy to use. This will be a great Before and After! :-) Susan
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! isn't it amazing how much a little cleaning can cheer you up and change the look of the house! My hubby cleaned off the table in the office - it was supposed to be a work table but it had gotten piled high - and I can't believe how much more productive and less discouraged, house-keeping wise, I feel now!
ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful! I did the same thing last year and what a huge difference it made. Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteWe've built houses a couple of times and everytime we move, we find the most work boxing up the pantry and closets....and they sure do seem to take a beating!!!
ReplyDeleteEverytime I turn around my pantry needs cleaning out and organized! Who is messing it up? ha
ReplyDeleteI love those shelves on your door. I wanted those but builder said my doors weren't heavy enough. They are more like cabinet doors. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteWOW!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job.
Now come and do mine.
Looks great. If you're like me, when I get an area that looks so good, for about a week, I keep going and opening the door to take another look. And admire it. LOL Because I know it won't last long.
ReplyDeleteOLO ~ Oh yes, I do that, too! It's great fun to go back and admire the work! And it inspires me to find another area to work on!
ReplyDeleteWOW! That is absolutely inspiring! Now, I want you to take a photo of after you put all your staples and such back in the pantry...I bet they are all lined up so wonderfully! I LOVE IT!!!
ReplyDeleteJill ~ isn't that something? I didn't really know how bad it was until I took all the food out!
ReplyDeleteVery nice job, Betsy! Paint always works wonders at making thinsg look new again.
ReplyDeleteMy pantry needs the same thing! I bet you will open the door just to look at your new pantry a couple of times everyday...just to bask in it's spiffed up loveliness.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it just great when something gets cleaned out and transformed.;)
ReplyDeleteI love seeing pictures like that; in fact this inspires me to clean out my own cupboards.;)
How lovely ... and how neat that you gave that kind of detail to the lowly pantry. Would you like to come over here in your spare time? I have a few projects I could use your help with!
ReplyDeleteSusan
Very pretty Betsy! Now, can you come to my house??
ReplyDeleteWow! It looks great, Betsy! Don't little spruce-ups like that just put a smile on your face?:)
ReplyDeleteWOW, it looks great! It sometimes the little things that can make a big difference. You've inspired me to find some little project to do.

ReplyDeleteIsn't crazy what paint and a little bit of work can do?? It looks fantastic, Betsy.
ReplyDeleteGreat job,Betsy! It looks super!
ReplyDeleteThe results are great! I'm off to attempt to transform a bookshelf and wardrobe in my daughter's room...Yipes!
ReplyDeleteLooks fantastic. Wish I could say my latest project was that quick!
ReplyDeleteYour before and afters are fantastic! Good job! It's good for another 20 years.
ReplyDeleteI saw the comment about the links - I was going to ask you how you do the links on my blog. I'd like to try it, but the first time I attempted something reallly baaaad happened. Now I'm afraid to touch the thing.

ReplyDeleteAHH ... it's the small things that mean so much ... beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBetsy, glad you posted this for Met Monday! Great transformation! :-) Susan
ReplyDeleteWonderful redo. It's amazing what paint can do, to make a space look brand new.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Nice work!
ReplyDeletePainting - that is my next project! Every single wall in my house is egg shell! Must paint! Must paint!
Great job, just a lttle paint can make a huge difference. I love Mr. Bunny too, Cindy at Applestone Cottage.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Amazing how a little can of paint can transform a space.
ReplyDeleteSo much for a 20 minute project, huh? It looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteAnd I just had to commend you....I've got 4 boys too (and a daughter), none of them triplets (although I did have four children in 5 years-then a straggler two years later), but my 10 year old does have severe autism. I. CAN'T. IMAGINE. having triplets with special needs. There's a special place in heaven for you (and hopefully it's QUIET and CLEAN there, two things I love but rarely get to experience) haha
Nice job on the pantry! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteDeb
You have just provided me with a swift kick in the pants to do mine! Good job!
ReplyDeleteI know just how proud you feel..I just did my laundry closet last week and am so proud of it.
ReplyDeleteNext ? MY PANTRY...yours looks great!!
So fresh and pretty! Just this afternoon I was thinking I need to do the same thing to our pantry, but there's so much stuff in it that I decided we wouldn't be able to see the walls or shelves. Thanks for the nudge!
