Vintage Blue Dishes

Do you know your blue vintage dishes?
Flow blue, polychrome, transferware?
I brought this stack of dishes home from the
auction last week.  It was a fun weekend
washing, researching and photographing them
for my etsy shop!  And no, I'm not keeping any
of them!  Shocking I know, since I've never
met a dish I didn't like. haha.
They'll be in the shop some time this week.

  1. They look so regal. I'll have to go take a look. I've hardly ever met a dish that I didn't like either, especially bowls.

    1. Platters seem to be something I gravitate to...that and because I'm usually the only person that
wants them at the auctions! haha.

  2. I think they will go fast in your shop. They are very pretty. Dishes, Linens, I love them too. I'm going to Costco for my monthly shopping...going to check out the rugs there.

  7. Hi Betsy - they look a wonderful collection ... I'm hopeless with china or varieties thereof ... I sort of watched something on Delft the other day -but it passed me by - except to know that if I visit Holland it's a place I should visit! cheers Hilary

  8. I have a few blueware plates and dishes I inherited from my Grandma. Never used them for fear of breaking them! They are all called "Yaun", made by Wood & Sons with a Registered No. on the underside. Probably worthless really, but I love them, they bring back memories of my childhood when we used to eat off them every day.

      that I knew.
      Lately, I like green.
      Maybe because it's spring. :)

  12. As you know, I've always loved blue and blue/white china. I have some lovely pieces from your shop! I will have to take a peek once you have them ready... although I am going through a major purge so we'll see!

    1. Yes, I know you love them! Purging and collecting conflict often, don't they? It's a constant battle with me, too.
