An Auction Find

I got this Barbacide Comb Jar at the auction yesterday.
It's going to be a straw dispenser in my kitchen!
A fun little upcycle recycle.

    1. Aren't those cute? Auction find, of course. They had chips so couldn't really use
for drinking tea any longer and I didn't want to just trash them. They are a perfect
      1 cup measure, too.

    1. Isn't that fun? I had a straw holder on my wish list, too, so that worked out well.

  9. lol . . . relating to the above I was thinking if I were to interview you on my Sunday Roast show again I might just use this intro . . . . hahaha!

Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay

When Eddie asked me on the show
I asked him if he'd mind
    If, after lots of thinking,
    His invitation I declined.
He asked me for the reason
And this is what I said
    "It's this latest picture,
    You've created in your head!"

    It's . . . . supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

The kids all shriek in terror
    And say I look ferocious
    I wanted him to flatter
But he's made me look atrocious!

    Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay

    The bloggers all demanded
    I appear on Eddie's show,
They would not stop their nagging
    Making pressure on me grow,
So here I am, I've changed my mind
    As I'm inclined to do,
    So complete with Eddie's picture
I've done my Roast for you.

    It's . . . . supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Oh must I have that photograph?
    It's simply quite atrocious
    And there was I imagining
    That he's a touch precocious!

    Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

    (altogether!)

    Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

    lol

    3. lol . . . oh I just imagined I might do a little funny photoshop job on an original Mary Poppinns photo . . . but just pulling your leg because you are in reality lovely . . . :)

    4. I think you need to sleep off those pain meds. You've totally lost your mind! And no, please don't make such a picture or post it on your blog. Sweet dreams....you will read this tomorrow and wonder what on earth you were thinking....lol....

    5. I wouldn't have done that in reality . . . . just a little mind game, but perhaps you may be right about the meds. The feeling has come back on my face and gums and is a bit sore but not too bad. It is a long time since I had a tooth out and the roots of this one were an inch long . . ouch! Glad it is all over . . :)

    6. Well another day has come and I must admit that was totally out of character ~ sorry! In fact everything about you is the exact opposite of atrocious.

      Gum feels fine and doesn't hurt at all . . . :)

  11. My BIl's family own a barber supply company and I saw lots of those in the day...along with the antiseptic that went inside. Good repurposing.
