  2. Normally there are no birds around my street, too many killer cats about. I know Dinky isn't one of the because she sits on the picnic table and just ignores them. She is too fat and idle to bother. Why should she, she has all the tuna, chicken, ham and other scraps from me that she wants!

But this winter I have see a lot of strange birds I have never seen before, but I cant identify them because I've never bothered to learn about the different models! Ha!

    1. I would take a guess that she is a Cardinal? No? Very pretty all the same.

    2. I have some real bird hunters here. I watched their mother Velvet teach them as kittens and they are good at it! Can't believe we have any birds here at all, but I've hung all the feeders higher than the cats can leap, so that helps.

Yes, she's a cardinal. Put your glasses on and read the title! hahaha.... :)

    3. I always go straight to the pictures, I never think to read the titles. Silly aren't I?

  3. Miss Cardinal? What happened to Mrs. Cardinal? Is this another one, or did Mrs. C. get a divorce?

    3. Dad fed that little baby girl all summer, even when she was as big as he was. haha.
She might be a bit spoiled!

  4. Beautiful delicate colours. Not so brash and handsome as Mr but lovely in her own way don't you think?

    2. I wonder if you would ever find a dress that combined that soft snuffy yellow with the coral of her crest?

    3. Hmm...I don't know! Might be easier to find a scarf in one color to put with a dress of the other! Sounds beautiful!

    1. I'd like to know what kinds of birds you have there. I know the English Robin, of course. And you have Black Birds (I know that from the ones baked in a pie...lol) But that is it! You should start a post series on your blog. :)

    2. Good idea . . . amongst the most interesting varieties we have are blue tits and great tits . . . quite small and very lively birds . . :)

    2. It's about crazy bonkers US bird watchers trying to spot every single US species including all the virtually indistinguishable lbjs inside one calendar year. There is also a movie. I really enjoyed it despite not knowing many of the birds. Costs. Fortune to crisps cross the country to be in the right state at the right time to spot each bird.

    3. laughing at your 'crisps'. Your hands just type that without you knowing, don't they? haha.

  20. Hi Betsy! That is a beautiful shot!! So sorry to hear you have got a cold. Yikes! And these viruses are so contagious there is nothing to do. Just to be in the same room makes you to get one :-( wishing you to get fit soon! We are back. And I miss my country already. I walked A LOT abt 10km daily in a freezing cold and it was just what I needed to recover my mental health ... haha. It is so nice to walk and not to have to worry about the people that are in the street. Here in Belgium, since all those attacks here, and in France and in Germany you cannot be relax to walk in the street, not to mention to shop in a mall. In my country you do not think like that and it is so nice!!! :-) anyways, I am going to read your posts I missed :-)
