    1. There were a couple dozen in the three feeders in this tree...so fun to watch. Most were young ones learning to eat from the feeder....busy parents...so sweet!

  2. Love to bird watch. Wish we had our feeder still. It just drew too many unwanted critters...mice and rats... so we had to stop.

    1. The solution to that is to add a cat! haha

    2. I was close to having a bird feeder, too, (photowannabe) and then my neighbor told me about the mice who came for the bird food on the ground and the snakes who came for the mice. (We have wetlands beyond our back yard.) That was my last thought about the bird feeder. Too bad...

    3. Uh oh...well, we have raccoons and skunks who feed on the seed that drops to the ground. But that isn't enough to make me stop enjoying my birds!

    1. We fill three feeders almost every day! And they are specially made so they can't dump it all on the ground...but we still go through that much! Goodness!

    1. I bet there are lots of fun things to see
Out the windows at Nanny's! Lol
Teach those Canadian birds to share
Plenty of seed at your lair.

    2. Much more to see
Than a parking lot in the city for me

  7. Hey folks. there's some grub I really 'needa'
Come with me to Betsy's feeder.
She fills it for us every day
To keep our hunger drive at bay.
Birds come to here for miles around
All species, colours and sizes found.
Our enemies can't each our table
Skunks and squirrels just are not able.
How hard they try and how much they sweat
A single grain they cannot get.
And we can later wash it down
At the birdbath where we won't drown.
We can wash fleas from our feathers
It works just fine in all our weathers.
She is a kind and lovely lass
And all she does is real first class.
But take care of all those lurking cats
There's 16 or so in these habitats.
They'd like to take us for a meal
So if you see one give a loud squeal.

    lol ~ nice photo.

    2. lol . . . ahem!

I thought the tadpoles had been evicted,
So their rear ends would not be afflicted . . . or their front ends for that matter . . . hahaha

    3. I looked in the water the other day and there were more tadpoles! Some have lost their tails already. They are about the size of a sesame seed! haha.

    1. Isn't it? It was the light and soft green that made me stop and look in the first place! Beautiful.
