Cozy Kitchen

Star does her part to add to the coziness.
She likes to talk to me while I do dishes. :)

  1. What a delightful, cozy kitchen. I love your farmhouse sink.
Plus your counters are far more clean and organized.
Mine tend to be a catch-all for all those "important things.."

    1. Well, I'm kind of OCD with the living areas and kitchen. But my studio is a different story. ha.

  2. It sure looks cozy! I love lamps in the kitchen. I have one in a corner, too. Your color scheme, also, makes it look so warm and cozy. I sure do love that pitcher!

    1. Why are those kitchen corners always so dark? haha. You almost have to have a lamp!

  3. It looks so perfect, like you posed Star there. Not that any self-respecting cat would ever allow themselves to be "posed". :)

  5. lol she looks as comfy as can be
    There at your sea
    Watching the dishes be done
Hopefully no little splashing or drops make her run
    Or give you a glare
    As she stays put there

    1. She's good at the glare
      and the Grumpy Cat stare.
I wonder if they are related
as their sense of humor is slated. ha.

    1. She's an old gal that is a true rescue story. I've had her 13 months now and she's gained 7 pounds since I've taken her in.

  12. My favorite part of the home is the kitchen and the kitchen window. This is lovely, Betsy. And Star looks so much younger now that she is safely in a forever, loving home. :)

    1. Me, too! We might as well love it since we spend so much time there, right? :)
She's looking good! It's her fur I'm working on now...lots of brushing, which she hates. ha.
I'm glad she doesn't have claws at this point!

  15. Star is a beauty. She is so lucky to have found a home with you good folks. We lost the last of our 3 kitties last month at 16 years old and the last of 2 golden retrievers too. IT has been a tough time. Seeing happy kitties in your home makes me smile. There are more cats for us but we are taking a break for now. A home just isn't complete without kitties about. Thank you sharing.

    1. Aw...so sorry for all the losses. It is so hard, isn't it? I don't do well with pets leaving me. Sometimes I wonder what I've set myself up for here....I could have many go very close to each other since most are the same age. Oh dear! Can't wait to hear about a new critter there when you feel the time is right!

    2. thanks, it is the tough part of pets. Don't tell anyone but today I stopped by a local shelter. Didn't bring anyone home but I might if I keep doing that!

  16. Awww... I love this. Contented kitty watching the work of the home be done. Seven pounds heavier? Amazing... well done.
So Tiger and Whiskers now have competition for the Mister? :-)
