Hello Mr Moon ~ you look bright and dandy today . . :)
Eddie, Betsy has certainly captured the moons "silvery shoon". Excellent picture.
Mr. Moon was still up this morning! The sun certainly was shining on his sleepy face. haha.
Can't see his face ~ wonder if he was wearing shades . . lol
He's peeking at you with one eye! :)
Must be a lady . . . hahaha
Hi Betsy - the moon has been 'extra' bright recently - now it wends its way along the English Channel streaming in the windows ... it is a gorgeous sight in the sky .. cheers Hilary
Mygoodness, it sure was bright...even in the morning sky it got my attention!
Slowly, silently, now the moonWalks the night in her silver shoon; This way, and that, she peers, and seesSilver fruit upon silver trees; One by one the casements catchHer beams beneath the silvery thatch;Couched in his kennel, like a log,With paws of silver sleeps the dog; From their shadowy cote the white breasts peepOf doves in silver feathered sleepA harvest mouse goes scampering by,With silver claws, and silver eye;And moveless fish in the water gleam,By silver reeds in a silver stream. - Walter de la Mare
As a schoolboy I had to learn that off by heart as punishment for some misdemeanor, and I still remember it to this day.
I've never heard that poem before....I love it. Beautiful!
"shoon" is Middle English for "shoes". Just saying. . .
I didn't know that! I thought it was a glow or shine!
I memorised this as a child, too. But not as punishment. It's one of my favourites.
It was beautiful!
A great shotThe moon was easy to spotStaring back at youHovering over your zoo
Almost needed sunglasses, too.It was very bright, it's true!

T&L were in town to pack up the last of their apartment and spent the night. They left at 6AM! I am NOT usually up at that hour. haha. And with the moonstill up, it was proof that nobody should be out of bed at that hour! lol....

More than they know!
Great capture. The moon has been amazing lately.
Just lovely! And I like seeing it at this phase....not so popular but really pretty!
I'm afraid that my eyes were not open this AM to see that gorgeous moon.A few evenings ago or shall I say early morning (like 3 AM) the Full moon was shining right into my eyes from my bedroom window. It woke me up...for a moment I almost thought it was daytime. What an amazing part of creation!
Once in a while that happens to us....bright moon shining on our faces and wakes us up!haha.
I know! haha.
I know! Loved it!
