    1. Rain just isn't quite the same, is it? Just like a row boat isn't as fun as a sleigh...lol....

  4. Isn't that lovely? I feel we should have frost but it is still far too warm and there are bad floods up in the North west. So glad we live on a hill.

  6. Against the backdrop of a cold dark night
An artist weaves his tapestry of delight
Each stitch of nature with fine detail adorning
Greets our eyes in this miracle this morning
It's every detail which makes our hearts enraptured
Each molecule in stupendous glory captured
Each crystal is it's own architecture
Stamping authority in it's every texture.

    Wow . . . lovely, Betsy . . :)

  8. I don't like the Winter as you know, I just cannot stand being cold, yet I can tolerate the heat. We haven't had any frost or snow to speak of yet, and I hope we don't!
A friend emigrated to Australia and every year he brags about the wonderful time he and the family are having lazing in the sun on the beach, having a Christmas Day "barby" picnic, munching on cold turkey sarnies swilling down ice cold lager to try and keep cool in temperatures of around 30C (85F).

    1. Hoar, not whore...lol....

We have had extremely dense fog lately and all that humidity makes great hoar frost! It's especially cool if there are blue skies and sun with it the next morning!

    1. We've been warm like that, too....with heavy fog...then it gets cold at night and turns it all to frost! Beautiful! Although driving at night with that fog hasn't been that fun!
