Hi Betsy - it always looks so pretty - incredible is nature's art work. Here we are warmish ... but very wet up north ... Wonderful photo - cheers Hilary
Flooding....yuck! Yes, so glad you live on a hill! Maybe you'll get a white Christmas! I saw a beautiful photo of Big Ben surrounded by snow flakes on Instagram last week....so lovely.
Against the backdrop of a cold dark night An artist weaves his tapestry of delight Each stitch of nature with fine detail adorning Greets our eyes in this miracle this morning It's every detail which makes our hearts enraptured Each molecule in stupendous glory captured Each crystal is it's own architecture Stamping authority in it's every texture.
Think I'll take it away and work on it further, and develop it ~ have an idea!. Getting a little inspiration for something about snowflakes~ thanks for the photo to kick start my brain . . lol
Hope you are having a lovely day I am recovering at long last I am pleased to say. . . .:)
I don't like the Winter as you know, I just cannot stand being cold, yet I can tolerate the heat. We haven't had any frost or snow to speak of yet, and I hope we don't! A friend emigrated to Australia and every year he brags about the wonderful time he and the family are having lazing in the sun on the beach, having a Christmas Day "barby" picnic, munching on cold turkey sarnies swilling down ice cold lager to try and keep cool in temperatures of around 30C (85F).
Wow! What a great photo! But, I must admit that when I read your title I said to myself, "What the heck?" HaHa! I had never heard of hoarfrost. Had to look it up.
We have had extremely dense fog lately and all that humidity makes great hoar frost! It's especially cool if there are blue skies and sun with it the next morning!
Gorgeous photo! I had it here one or two mornings last week. Daytime highs are supposed to be back in the mid 50's this week. This is my kind of December!
We've been warm like that, too....with heavy fog...then it gets cold at night and turns it all to frost! Beautiful! Although driving at night with that fog hasn't been that fun!
Mother Nature's blanket....
ReplyDeleteIt looked like it has snowed here this morning with such a heavy frost.
Beautiful magical picture !

DeleteIsn't that lovely? I feel we should have frost but it is still far too warm and there are bad floods up in the North west. So glad we live on a hill.
