It's a good thing to be grateful, isn't it?
And with the Thanksgiving holiday approaching,
November just seems like the obvious time to celebrate
that day in a very practical way. So, I think I'll list one thing
each day of November that I'm thankful for and keep a running
list on my sidebar. I've done this in years past and it's fun!
Things can be light hearted, serious, deep or shallow. haha.
If you want to join me, start a list on your sidebar, too!
♥
Great idea. I have noticed a few bloggers and FB peeps doing this too. Helps us focus on the big and little things we have in our lives. I'm grateful for you and all that you share with us. xo
ReplyDeleteI've seen it around, too, but couldn't find an organized event in the blogs. But I didn't want to do 30 posts on it...I like the sidebar thing better. And I'm thankful for you, too! :)
DeleteI've done this before, too. It was fun appreciating the not so obvious things. And I am equally grateful, as Suza, for you and our new friendship.
ReplyDeleteWell, you guys are sweet! Some of my blog friends have become very close friends...and that is just so cool!
DeleteYes~ great idea, now I just have to figure out how to DO it on the sidebar!
ReplyDeleteYay...it will be fun. Just click on 'add a gadget' under layout and choose make a list.
DeleteThanks, Betsy!
DeleteGood idea!
ReplyDeleteWell, thanks, WW. :)
DeleteBeautiful idea!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week
Thanks, Manu...so far, so good! :)
DeleteThat is a wonderful idea. I will join you in my mind. I usually do a thankfullness mind list every night, well almost every night ... I love the new banner!
ReplyDeleteI love that...a great way to end each day!
DeleteHi Betsy - what a great idea ... I'll join in mentally and may post at the bottom of each post ... sidebar aspects beat me! I can combine this with another couple of thoughts ... thanks - and yes at the moment I'm grateful it's not frosty and freezing, but I suspect the cold is good for us and our space in this world here in England. Lots of bugs around still! The mist has descended ... still my walk across to my class today will have great views of nature ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteYes, there are still some beautiful things to see out there...yesterday was particularly beautiful here!
DeleteYou, shallow at your sea?
ReplyDeleteThat would be an interesting spree
Reasons to be thankful every day
Even when the crap comes to play
Glad to hear that surprises you
Deleteas I wouldn't want that reputation to come due. haha.
But yeah, I can be thankful for silly things
and the little bit of happiness they bring.
Dealing with a lot of crap
makes you want to take a nap
have to look for the good
so a balance is understood!
Great idea! Seems like a good time to do some self-inspection, and see just what we ARE thankful for! So I'm jumping on board with you! And I'm thankful I've come to know you, and feel like I can call you a friend. That's a "freebie".... won't be on my list.... :)
ReplyDeleteWell, thanks, Friend. :) I'm looking forward to your list.
DeleteI enjoy your sidebar and much as your posts!
ReplyDeleteYou do such a nice job, adding interest.
Thanks Christine...sidebars are easier to do than posts! haha...
DeleteSuch a great idea! =)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Should be fun!
DeleteThankful ~ glad I met you . . :)
ReplyDeleteI am so pleased your guy won nascar, hope he does it again and again. . . :)
Good idea to list thankfulness each day . . . we do have so many things to be thankful for . . :)
Well, aren't you sweet. :) Why can't you be like that all the time? lol....joking...just joking. :)
DeleteI am . . well 97.5% of the time . . . :)
DeleteIt's a great idea to count your blessings. I'll do it too.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's a very good thing to do....always good to remind ourselves how fortunate we are for big and little things!
DeleteLol....I wouldn't want to watch TV in pink for more than thirty minutes.
ReplyDeleteCute though.
~Jo
No, I wouldn't either...not sure I'd even last 30 minutes!
DeleteThis is a great idea! Like you, I have many things to be grateful for everyday, just simple things that can make me happy.
ReplyDeleteNice picture you have here. By the way, thanks for visiting my blog and dropping a line.
