  1. How pretty! There wasn't sun here today. A lot of big snowflakes fell and I now have snow on the ground!

    1. The pic is from 2 days ago. We are cold, grey and windy. I was just saying that it looks like it could snow...and now that you say you have it, I guess I was right!

    2. Sorry, I misunderstood. I think I'll have a cup of warm tea or hot chocolate tonight!

  2. Looks happy as can be
As the sun is giving her a spree
    Sun beats snow

    1. I prefer both together!
      The best kind of weather
with the sun sparkling on the snow!
That is the way to go!

  3. Great shot, Betsy! The sunshine and shadows make her look so graceful!

Off topic....would you mind if I email a picture of a buffet to you? I would like your expert opinion on it.

  4. Aww, Garden Girl, she needs a shawl for this cold weather ;)
A beautiful statue, do you cover her up in winter to stop her from cracking ?

    1. She is still Aphrodite to me, no matter what you say. Did you know that she wore a "magical girdle" that made her irresistible to all men? Perhaps that's why she is smirking! (We know someone else who has got one too, don't we?).

She's a bit scruffy though, perhaps you should give her a good scrub down with some bleach and a wire brush.

    2. Some one else? With a smirk or a girdle? lol...

A scrub down? I don't know....I like the scruffy...maybe a little moss will grow on her!

    3. "With a smirk or a girdle?". Both, if you like. . . . .

    4. a magical one? I'm laughing so hard I can't type. Unfortunately, I don't have one of those...

    5. Maybe he's referring to Wonder Woman (and we all know that's you). In the comics, she wears the Golden Girdle of Gaea. It's more a belt than Maidenform shapewear, you might say.

    1. You're the second person that has mentioned the golden hour. I've never heard of it! So, it's the last hour of sun?
I couldn't find anything about it on Google...

  10. Hi Betsy - she does look ready for a nap ... she is a wonderful addition to the garden. We too had a brief flurry of snow yesterday morning, and this morning had our first frost ... but I gather we are going back to some warmer weather ,,, cold snaps are good ... cheers Hilary
