Hiding, but you captured his sweetness !~Jo
Very sweet! Groups of sparrows keep flying from the feeders into this burning bush. They must know they are hidden in it!
Oh how precious. Love the mauve and blue. Such a lovely photo.
Love those colors just as the sun is going down. She was hidden pretty well, but looked so pretty!
What a camouflage! I love also how the light reflects on the gate tops behind ...
yes I love that, too...she was just out of the setting sun....really pretty!
I am seeing such pretty Sparrows lately!I took a bunch of pics the other day...of sparrows...while boyfriend was pumping gas!Great shot Betsy!Enjoy your evening...Cheers!Linda :o)

You'd think she'd be in the sunas the day was about done. One last bit of warmth therebefore the cold night air!
He/she blends in beautifully. Love those colors.
Mrs. House Sparrow. :)
A master of disguise . . . lovely shot . . Our sparrow population fell dramatically about 10 years ago through disease. Still not recovered abd we don't see that many. Wonder if they all flew to Ohio . . . :)
The sparrows, too? Didn't you tell me the Starlings died of disease?
No, I remember mentioning Sparrows but not Starlings . . . come to think of it I haven't seen many of them lately either maybe someone else mentioned it . . . .
Oh, good.... I was beginning to thing your bird population was completely going away!
No I don't frighten all the birds away . . . . lol
Sorry the boys are sick . . . best wishes for them . . :)
Such a sweet image, Betsy
Oh, but I liked your snow better!
Such nice bird pictures! All of them!! Are you just that close from your window, or do you use a big old telescopic lens like those photogs on pit row at NASCAR races?? GOOD RESULTS with whichever way you're doing it!
Photogs on pit road.....you act like you might know one! :)That bush is really close to the window but I did zoom in a little. I've requesteda longer zoom lens for Christmas. Hope Santa thinks I've been good enough. ha.
Such beautiful, muted colours. I love how she is tucked away.
She just looked so sweet there! :) That window is the middle one of the three in my little nook where my desk is, so she was right in front of me....so fun to watch her.
Hi Betsy - I'm not surprised she's sheltering ... it's turning chilly - wonderful photo - cheers Hilary
Yes, a little chilly here....but we're going to warm up again in a couple of days!
Beautiful !! I would love to have a more big camera for take the little birds :)
I'd love to see the birds you have in your yard! Maybe Santa will bring you one! :)
Jitka ~ If you stop by...I'm thinking about you and your country. Do you live near Brussels?
Hope the boys feel better soon, and hope you don't get sick yourself!
