"If you have good thoughts, they will shine
out of your face like sunbeams,
and you will always look lovely."

  1. Good thought.
I see your crab apple is full of fruits. Our local blackbirds are loving the glut of plums in the back garden here.

    1. Yep, all those little blossoms have turned to fruit. The birds don't start eating them here until the winter, for some reason...

  2. Then obviously you must always have good thoughts . . :)

    1. It's always healthy to have a positive attitude, right? :)
I think it's more obvious what the negative attitude does....you really can see it on someone's face.

    2. Yes you are absolutely right about that. I love that moon over your sweet home, what a colour! amazing shot. Good night! Well at least for me over on the other side of the pond :-)

    3. That moon was amazing...gorgeous color and huge! I'm so glad I didn't miss that one!

  4. Lovely thought and so true. Do you eat your crab apples? Are they sweet? Just wondering because I've never eaten one.

    1. We don't eat them...although I did make jelly from them one time. If you eat them raw they are unbearably sour and kind of tough, so I just leave them for the birds.

  5. Today's sermon talked about being a light to a fallen world.

  7. I used to make crab apple jelly, lovely on my home made bread. I say 'used to' because I picked my crabbies from two trees that grew wild in a little country lane I know. One day, when I was picking, a police car stopped and Fuzz demanded to know why I was "stealing" the apples! (It's called "scrumping" here and apparently it's against the law). I was cautioned, and they drove away. The next week I discovered that the Council had cut the trees down and removed all the timber and the fallen apples! Pigs!

A good thought by Roald Dahl, but I don't really want to "look lovely"; people might get the wrong idea about me. Ha!

    1. I also know of three pear trees in an abandoned house garden. I'll make sure that I'm not seen when I go "scrumping" there in the Autumn (Fall)!

  10. You made a sun appear
Instead of a title with your cheer
    Look at you
    So it shines through?
    That could be so
Hope the sunbeams from my face won't burn anyone though lol

  16. Nice photo and quote! I had a crabapple at my other house and i also noticed they ate them in the winter mostly when they would fall off the tree. Sometimes though I would see starlings eating them starting in fall because i have pics of fall leaves around the apples on the ground.

I love your blog by the way.
