We tried a new snack the other day.
Harvest Snaps. Cute, huh?
They are made from snap peas, obviously.
What cute little pea pods!
What cute little pea pods!
They had a great veggie taste and were lightly salted.
The texture reminded me of Cheetos.
Alex especially like them and as you can see,
they didn't last long!
♥
Wonder if any of our stores carry them....I need a healthy snack....The cookie jar is just too tempting.
ReplyDeleteI bet you could do a google search and find out! I got mine at Sams Club. They won't cure a sweet tooth, though.
DeleteI still had to get in the cookie jar. ha.
I will google it. Maybe Costco or Smart and Final. Speaking of cookies.... Several of the adults wondered it they could come on cookie day if they brought a donation.....What have I started...HaHa
DeleteI just checked and Costco and Walmart both carry them.
DeleteYou'll have to let me know what you think! :)
DeleteThey probably wouldn't last long here, either . . . .:)
ReplyDeleteNot quite like crisps, but they'll do if you're in the snacking mood. :)
DeleteWow, they flew away
ReplyDeleteThere at your bay
Taste like cheetos too?
Bet better for you
Just the texture is like those cheeto curls
Deletethe taste really is like peapods swirled
with a little salt sprinkled in.
I think it's a win!
Yum! I like those too!
ReplyDeleteA very nice change!
DeleteAnd I liked the shape. :)
I love those things. We can get them at Costco here in So Cal. so they are in big bags. I can go through them too fast so I don't buy them too often.
ReplyDeleteThere are good.
Wanda will be glad to hear they are at Costco in Cali! We only bought this one big bag. It was gone in two days. ha.
DeleteAnd gluten free!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Linda :o)
Yep...one of the reasons I bought them. I'm trying to wean Alex off gluten...or at least reduce it.
Deletewell, that's a new one on me and looks like a yummy snack. I must see if my store has them.
ReplyDeleteHi Latane :) I hope you can find them....they were new to me, too, and a nice change...and almost healthy! haha...
DeleteI've been seeing strange new veggie snacks in the deli section- green beans, all sorts of different ones. I will have to try some.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to look for those green beans! You have me curious!
DeleteThis is such a strange coincidence because I just tried these a few days ago too! Had never had them before and the place that I am house-sitting had them in the cupboard. They are sooooooo tasty!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's funny! Yes, very tasty...I was pleasantly surprised!
DeleteAnd mine were marked "low salt" and they still had a great taste.
DeleteThese are, too,,,,and it was just enough salt, I thought!
DeleteI will see if I can find them in the store..wonder if my son would like them. He really likes chips so this would be a nice change. Who am I kidding..I want to eat them!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my boys love chips, too! So much so that we have to hide the bag and ration them out! ha.
DeleteI like them to! Plus, I feel like it's a little better for me. :)
ReplyDeleteMuch better for you....at least in what they don't have in them!
DeleteOMG never heard about this kind of snack...I wonder if I can find it in Italy!.
ReplyDeletexox
I hope you can find them...let me know!
DeleteHi Betsy - I suspect we'll get them here soon ... not too sure about the Cheeto taste ... but great if the boys like them ... particularly Alex ...
ReplyDeleteCheers Hilary
I didn't say they tasted like Cheetos....I said they tasted like veggies!
DeleteOh yes, I've had them before, they are delicious...I have to watch how many I eat though, because of the "digestive result"! I first saw them at Trader Joe's.
ReplyDeleteoh dear.....no digestive results here. That would be a negative. ha. You must be sensitive to an ingredient...but they are all natural...hmm....
DeleteThat's one way to get children to eat their peas.
ReplyDeleteGotta love all those crispy vegetables out there these days.
:0)
"Gotta" Is that on your list of banned words?
DeleteIt wasn't a list of banned words...and it wasn't mine...it was from the New York TImes, I believe. It was phrases we commonly use that don't make sense, like "doing a 360" instead of "doing a 180" or hone in instead of home in. Gotta is slang and I use it all the time!
DeleteOkay, good.

I can't believe I missed this post!
