While it was pouring rain last week, the cats spent most of their
time on the back porch watching rain drops and napping.
When that got boring, they amused themselves inside, playing
relay races, leap frog or a combination of both!
When the 'moat' started to subside, it was time to go exploring.
This morning I could see that the spiders had been busy rebuilding...
And the hostas were putting out some blooms!
♥
Love the pics of the cats playing. They don't see to be bothered unduly about the rain.
ReplyDeleteThey don't mind the rain and still go out into it...unless it's thundering...and then they creep with their bellies dragging on the floor and hide under furniture. ha.
DeleteWhen there is a storm Dinky sits in the window upstairs and watches the lightning. It seems to fascinate her, but then, she's weird. . . . it's me that hides under the table! Ha!
ReplyDeletehaha...Oh, I laughed out loud at that! I can just see you crouched under the table! I would think crawling out would be the problem.
DeleteLaughing out loud too!
DeleteMe too . . . I can just see Keith under the table and Dinky saying, "It's Okay!" ..lol
DeleteWonderful shots! Your cats are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary. :)
DeleteI love to watch cats play...they crack me up. Love the photo of your hosta bloom.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the hosta flowers! The humming birds love them!
DeleteRemarkable how well the cats go on with each other (or should I write 'one another'?)
ReplyDeleteGreat shots ~ all of them. Like the in focus spider's web and the out of focus background ~ exactly how our eyes see it . . .
Glad it has brightened up for you . . . :)
You should write 'get along' instead of 'go on'. lol....
Deletelol . . . . meant to say 'get on' but 'get along' is better. Your English is 'frightfully good' for am American . . . rofl
Deleteyes, I knew you meant to say it....but it still sounds funny to me. :)
DeleteYou could have your own cat Olympics!! Love the spider web - Mother Nature is so intricate.
ReplyDeleteI really could! Looks like Samantha won this race. lol...
DeleteRain didn't stop their day
ReplyDeleteAs 5 were sure at play
Or 4 as one ran away
To fight again another day haha
They sure had fun
Deleteeven without the sun!
You sure got a lot of rain!
ReplyDeleteWe did not get what was forecast, and we are hot and humid again!
Hope you don't have muddy paw prints all over!
Enjoy your evening...
Cheers!
Linda :o)
The only mud tracked in was from the boys!
DeleteI hope you get to dry up a bit!
ReplyDeleteNo rain today....but it's forecasted for tomorrow!
DeleteAren't cats entertaining?
ReplyDeleteI love your spiderweb photo!
Constantly entertaining!
DeleteThe spider web is still there...but more rain is coming! So dark this morning!
The cats make me smile :)
ReplyDeleteI can't help but think you must drag the vacuum cleaner out at least once a day ...lol
Love the shots Betsy.
~Jo
yes...daily vacuuming...although we have a roomba...which helps. Actually, it's the rabbit that sheds the most...it's amazing!
DeleteI love that second picture...cats and water...fascinating to watch them play!
ReplyDeleteThey had such a good time exploring!
DeleteSpiders??? Omg, I can't deal with those. The mote can stay, but the spiders have to go!
ReplyDeleteI know! I don't do well with spiders! Maybe the moat will keep them away? ha.
DeleteYour artistic eye, even makes spider webs look appealing.
ReplyDeletehaha...there were 4 that I noticed yesterday morning....it was like once the rain stopped, they all got busy putting their homes back together!
DeleteLooking forward to seeing the hummingbirds at the hostas. Don't think I have ever noticed them feeding at those flowers.
ReplyDeleteI need a few days of sunshine..we have had enough rain for awhile. No moats here though.
Those cats sure are playful.
Great shot of the spider web. Spiders do a beautiful job of 'webbing'.
There was a sweet tiny spider web that I wanted to photograph but the landscape workers messed it up before I got to it. haha.
DeleteIt was so little but perfectly shaped...must have only been hours old. Oh well...the big one was still there!
We were supposed to have rain today but the sun broke through instead! Hope you had some, too!
We had sunshine all day:)
DeleteThe world is a fun place for cute kitties to explore.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is. Star is dying to go out and I've let her for a few minutes when I'm outside, too. She just loves it. I'd leave her there if she had claws....it just seems hard when you can't defend yourself. She will eventually figure out the cat flap, though, and then I'll just have to let her do it like all the others.
