Sunshine After The Rain

While it was pouring rain last week, the cats spent most of their
time on the back porch watching rain drops and napping.
When that got boring, they amused themselves inside, playing
relay races, leap frog or a combination of both!

When the 'moat' started to subside, it was time to go exploring.

This morning I could see that the spiders had been busy rebuilding...

And the hostas were putting out some blooms!

  1. Love the pics of the cats playing. They don't see to be bothered unduly about the rain.

    1. They don't mind the rain and still go out into it...unless it's thundering...and then they creep with their bellies dragging on the floor and hide under furniture. ha.

  2. When there is a storm Dinky sits in the window upstairs and watches the lightning. It seems to fascinate her, but then, she's weird. . . . it's me that hides under the table! Ha!

    1. haha...Oh, I laughed out loud at that! I can just see you crouched under the table! I would think crawling out would be the problem.

  5. Remarkable how well the cats go on with each other (or should I write 'one another'?)
Great shots ~ all of them. Like the in focus spider's web and the out of focus background ~ exactly how our eyes see it . . .
Glad it has brightened up for you . . . :)

    1. You should write 'get along' instead of 'go on'. lol....

    2. lol . . . . meant to say 'get on' but 'get along' is better. Your English is 'frightfully good' for am American . . . rofl

We did not get what was forecast, and we are hot and humid again!

  13. Spiders??? Omg, I can't deal with those. The mote can stay, but the spiders have to go!

    1. I know! I don't do well with spiders! Maybe the moat will keep them away? ha.

  15. Looking forward to seeing the hummingbirds at the hostas. Don't think I have ever noticed them feeding at those flowers.
I need a few days of sunshine..we have had enough rain for awhile. No moats here though.
    Those cats sure are playful.
Great shot of the spider web. Spiders do a beautiful job of 'webbing'.

    1. There was a sweet tiny spider web that I wanted to photograph but the landscape workers messed it up before I got to it. haha.
It was so little but perfectly shaped...must have only been hours old. Oh well...the big one was still there!
We were supposed to have rain today but the sun broke through instead! Hope you had some, too!

    1. It sure is. Star is dying to go out and I've let her for a few minutes when I'm outside, too. She just loves it. I'd leave her there if she had claws....it just seems hard when you can't defend yourself. She will eventually figure out the cat flap, though, and then I'll just have to let her do it like all the others.
