  1. Smoothies...yum.
    Brotherly-love how special.
    Chicken and eggs, look delicious.
Full moon, maybe that's why I've been a bit crazy :)
Peaches looks like he is on the back side of the upper respiratory disease, I can't help but think he has put on weight too......yah !!
    A lovely weekend Betsy.

    1. Brotherly love..yes...and they really are true brothers! :)
The full moon would explain a lot of things around here....hahaha....
Peaches does look better....hydrated and well fed! Amazing what food and water will do for a cat! ha. He's more alert...even chatty, too. Now if I can just get him to the vet I think he'll be in good shape!

  2. Every time you show a picture of Peach I'm hopeful it's because he's had his trip to the vet's. Keep at it! You're sure to catch him soon.

    1. I can very close twice last week to getting him into that carrier but he is very suspicious and backs out before it's safe to shut the door!
He is coming in the mornings now, so it's looking more and more hopeful!

  3. I believe Peaches could be a senior citizen. Although I thought that when I adopted Oliver, and it turned out he was less than a year old. You take such fabulous animal photos. I often email them to a friend who is amazed by their quality. Lynne in NC

    1. I'd love to know his age! He's going to be beautiful when he's all healthy! I came so close to catching him this week, Lynne...it was heartbreaking when it didn't work out. He's very wise and aware....I may just have to take him with a full stomach and let them deal with when to put him under. Food is the only thing that will get him in that carrier! One good thing...he's around during the day quite often!

  4. Too much info in one post! I don't know what to comment on except to say that everything looks great. I love a Waldorf Salad, but I think a Salad Nicoise is more fun! Peaches looks more contented now, I just hope that you can get him fixed up soon.

  5. Let the brotherly love flow
As they twist toe to toe
Hopefully Peaches will get caught soon
Then he can sing a happy tune
    Curled up in the basket
And chicken won't make me blow a gasket lol

He would really think that was a crime!

If the rhyme is in error..
Just as it's not always wrong
If the beat's not 'on song'.

  10. Wonderful photos - I can practically taste those smoothies. Yum.
Love the kitties as always - look at those sweet kisses and that blissful nap - that's the life!
Peaches looks so much better - I know his eyes are a problem but boy, he is much improved. And I know that their tums are supposed to be empty when they go to the vet, but I had a friend in a similar situation and finally the vet just said to bring him in and they would deal with it. Might be the only way.
I was looking up at our glorious moon last night and thought of you!
That chicken looks amazing - and I actually have peach preserves and pepper jelly. Great idea.

    1. Yes, I agree about Peaches....he goes in to eat but he didn't fall for an empty bowl or a bowl with just a bite in it!
And he acted like he knew I was tricking him and has been very suspicious ever since! The Mister said to just do
what I have to do to catch him and we can sort the rest out.
Try the chicken....sweet with a tiny bit of heat...juicy chicken ...very tasty!

    2. That kitty is too clever for his own good... he's on to your tricks! But I can just feel that it will be soon.

    3. He really is! And he hasn't even shown up today....the vet is open! lol....

    4. I had another thought, too....I'm going to try catnip before I try a bowl of food. :)

      Delete
    5. Peaches seems to know when it's the weekend - sneaky devil. I hadn't though of catnip - that just might do the trick. But maybe check with the vet first in case there are any contraindications for what he might be suffering from? Or whether it's okay for him to be "high" when he goes for treatment? I don't know - might be just the solution!

    2. Yay! I just hit up Lowes for some Lavendar and Geraniums. Can't wait to get home and plant them. And I've got tomatoes and cucumbers ready to go in the beds. What veggies do you grow?

  15. Awesome collection of photos
Right now I'd love a couple of Blueberry Smoothies followed by a couple of sunny side ups with a Waldorf Salad ~ then I'd definitely have an afternoon nap but hope I'd be woken up by a cage door closing and a victorious voice saying, "Eddie, I've got him and I'm taking him to the vet !"
    Nice moon. Care for a stroll? . . . :)

  16. I am so jealous about your views of the moon. London is not a good place to look at the sky. We have far too many lights... and then even this far out we have the pollution.

That chicken recipe sounds good. I have just chopped up all the ingredients for a new way (to us) with potatoes. The kitchen looks as though Delia or Nigella might turn up at any moment (they are never seen doing their own chopping except in a glamorous not trying too hard sort of a way). I am expecting the TV crew any time now.

    1. And is your crab apple Malus Rudolf?

      Delete
    2. My little village is basically in the middle of farm land, so we have some nice clear skies when the clouds cooperate.

I love to watch Nigella! I hope your TV crew brings a few assistants for you and someone to powder your nose between shoots. ha.

Yes, it's a malus rudolf! It's in full force today and raining pink petals with the breeze. :)

    3. Rudolf is such a pretty tree.

Sadly no TV crew so I had to do all the work myself. But the recipe worked really well. I will try that again.

The local Judas tree is slowly coming into flower. I will try and get a good shot of it for you. It's quite a big tree but spreading rather than tall.
