A Little Added Touch

When we did our kitchen renovation last fall there was a little
space of blank wall left between the cupboards and the
three windows that make up my little nook for my desk.
I've been looking for some pretty little thing to put in that space.

A couple of weeks ago I stumbled upon these pretty antique plates
from Austria.  I happen to have a thing for old plates with fruit painted
on them and these raspberries were beautiful.  They have a little
row of Shamrocks around the edge, too!  Perfect for this girl
with some Irish blood in her!

They even had a splash of grey to coordinate with the wall color!

I purchased these from Michelle at The Dripping Tap, a cute
little Etsy shop.  I was so impressed with her packaging.  They
arrived safe and sound!  She had great customer service and she
even sent a fourth plate as a surprise when I had only purchased three.

Great customer service deserves some recognition, I think!
If you feel like doing some online shopping, go check out Michelle's
shop.  You can find it HERE.

Thank you, Michelle!
Lovely plates and exactly what I wanted for this space!
Best of luck with your little shop!

    2. Oh, I will have to check out your pinterest board. The raspberries are lovely with their gradation of colour, and I adore the shamrock trim. In your first photo, on my screen, your cabinets look deep purple! In the next photo they are the proper colour. Odd.

  7. They certainly very pretty. You remind me of my Pat, whenever she saw a blank space on the wall or a space in a corner somewhere she never rested until she found something suitable to put there. She even had a vintage Fire Bucket with an aspidistra planted in it at the side of the toilet!
