    1. And I get to be first, at long last. Ha.

    2. Usually home, and it's a pain to post comments from my phone. And when I read your posts when I'm at the library on the day after, I only have a worthwhile comment half the time. Heh.

    3. Sounds like something David Lynch would say. ha.

    4. You mean the "other" one, the director?

    5. Left the initial out just to bug you.

    6. Yeah, you do have your ways of driving me crazy.

    7. Ha. I should use some bad grammar right about now to prove your point.

    8. You'd probably come up with something that would knock my socks off... and send them sailing from here to your neighbor's gazebo!

  2. Hi Betsy - great photo of Slate! I'm sure Lynne will be very happy .. cheers Hilary

  3. I have missed Slate too! Boy does he look soft and velvety in the light. What a prize that kitty turned out to be. I know Lynne will love to see her pal.
Marmy was stealing the spotlight for a while - poor kitties - they have to vie for position! Ha!
By the way, I brag about your blog to a few people and they all love your new kitchen and your Christmas décor!

    1. Slate and Marmy have had a little rivalry going on with some hissing and scowls, competing for my attention. So silly. ha.
Yes, Slate is velvety...and that color just adds to the lushness!
Well, how fun that they looked at my blog. I still can't believe that kitchen is mine, honestly. :)

    2. I think Henry (next doors cat) has decided to move in here. Dinky came home rather late last night only to find Henry fast asleep in HER bed! After a lot of hissing and growling like your two, Henry , being a gentleman, gave up the bed to Dinky and slept in the bathroom!

    3. Well, Henry knows a good home when he sees one! And what a kind soul to give up the furry bed for the bathroom floor. ha.

    1. It seems the ones at my feet get their photos taken. The shy and leary ones don't! Poor things. ha.

    1. He's such a sweet cat. :) I think he appreciates being taken in. What a skinny stray he was, too. He weighs about 4 times as much now. ha.

    2. Yes! Of course, he was just bones when he came, but he is a big cat now with a full, round belly. ha.

    3. Suffering from insomnia so I am looking at Slate's lovely softness and expression, and listening to some relaxing music. Hope that puts me under soon. :-)

    4. Oh dear...hopefully by now you're having sweet dreams...

  6. O-H-H-H-H Betsy! Almost life size! I swear I think he knew it was a special photo for me. What a fabulous cat! Look at that confident facial expression! Thank you so much for thinking of me. Sometimes I get kind of down during the holidays missing my family who have been gone a long time. Lynne in NC

  7. He's certainly a handsome cat, all regal looking and definitely upper-class. Let's face it, if he was human he wouldn't even speak to the likes of us.

    1. I think you should rename your blog to "My Five Men and Fourteen Cats".

    2. That would scare everyone away! ha. And Nugget would pack his bags and leave.

    3. Sorry. "At Christmas my true love sent to me, My Five Men, Fourteen Cats, and Nutty Nugget Rabbit". Better?
