I had to laugh this afternoon at my animals. Sofie (the little dog) was on my lap and Little Cat came by to say hello to me, but she kept reaching up and touching the dog instead. The dog didn't quite know what to do about it. I love that your cats love each other. :0)
It appeared that the cat was almost oblivious to the dog. When the cat poked her with her nails, the dog was none too happy, but the cat was looking at me the entire time.
Betsy, you're killing me with all the precious cat photos, since I can't have a feline of my own. Don't know how you managed to wind up with so many sweeties. They seem to be weathering the kitchen reno ok. I thought about having mine re-done to cheer myself up, but I know I would wind up feeling very guilty, since I never cook. Lynne in NC
Cats have emotions and feelings just like us. In the fields by my house there are a few strays and feral cats and recently I have had one or two strays come to my house looking for a home, but my resident cat, Dinky, is adamant that she is NOT willing to share her home with any of them. Shame really, I would love another cat around the house, but obviously it is not up to me!
I've found that if the new cat here is a small kitten, the rest are nicer in accepting a new one. The other new ones have caused a couple of mine to hiss and throw a fit, but I bop them on the head and tell them that they were needy one time, too, and to be nice. haha. So far, that has worked.
awww, soft noses. so gentle,
ReplyDeleteAren't they sweet? I just had to snap a few pictures....

ReplyDeleteAw...do you think the kitty was telling the dog to get down? I had two cats trying to sit on my lap at the same time today...rather amusing.

DeleteMaybe she thought you had gotten rather hairy while you were gone on your trip! haha.
DeleteHa ha! maybe.
DeleteThey are almost the same as us humans, aren't they!! . . . . . lol
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots - you captured them beautifully. . . . . :)
They do have feelings, you certainly can tell that!
DeleteHee hee - this is TOO cute! Perfect captions. Hard pressed to choose, but I do love "Secrets." <3
ReplyDeleteThe 'secrets' was my favorite, too! Aw.

But I wouldn't tell a soul

ReplyDeleteThe feral cats are wild and wont come near the house. A right scruffy bunch they are!

DeleteYes, the feral ones are hard to tame. Velvet still hasn't been petted after three years here, as you know.
DeleteSweet and adorable and lucky kitties to be in such a loving home. You can see contentment here.
ReplyDeleteThey do make me smile seeing how sweet they can be...
DeleteHoly cow! They look SO MUCH like my cats--especially in the first picture.

You need to find him a rescue sibling. :)

ReplyDeleteI think it was something like, "I hear there will be pork chops for dinner!" ha.
