It's been a while since I had a gift basket order!
Seems I've been concentrating on auction finds and my etsy store
much more than my original little home business! But I did get
a couple of orders this week and today I made up the first one.
This basket is going to the workers at a sunflower farm.
With all the autumn themed items in the stores, it was
easy to put together a fun, practical basket.
I hope they like their big planter full of garden gloves,
hand soap, nail scrubbers, coffee, chocolates and
pumpkins scented candles, among other things.
I wonder where they'll put that big yard stake.
Maybe beside the time card station. ha.
♥
You did an awesome job, Betsy. The chocolate cornflake clusters caught my attention! I remember peanut butter/cornflake candy from school lunches.
ReplyDeleteKeith has mentioned making those chocolate corn flake clusters. I'd had never heard of them before, so I'm anxious to see if he notices these!
DeleteNow, peanut butter corn flake candy? That is new to me, too!
Yes, I spotted the Choccy Cornflake Cakes as my mother called them. During WWII she couldn't get the ingredients to make we kids some cakes, so she spent her sweet ration on Gov't Branded Chocolate, melted it and mixed in Kellogs Corn Flakes (apart from porridge oats, that was all that was available) the put dollops of it on greaseproof paper to set. Voila! Cakes for Sunday teatime.
DeleteNow I see you can buy them in the US of A ! At great expense no doubt.
Er. . . .do I qualify for a gift basket, being old and infirm? Just asking. . . .
How very inventive of your mother! They should have named them after her, I think! No wonder you love them even now...I suspect a little sentimental value is attached to them, too! I need to make some! And yes, of course you qualify for a basket...but you must come pick it up in person! What theme would you like yours to be? Chef? Chocolate Lover? French? All of the above? ha.
DeleteHi, I'll call on Sunday morning. Is it allright if I park the Mercedes in the circle at the end of Drive?
DeleteThat's perfect! Please bring lemon cake with cherries on top and I'll make coffee.
DeleteSuch a great idea and so professionally done.
ReplyDeleteYou really are a natural organizing and putting together concepts like this. My congratulations and admiration for your on-line business acumen . . .
In other words, "Well done lass!" . . . . . . :)
. . . and I just missed first - do I get a consolation prize? . . . lol
DeleteNo prizes for second! You must be quicker next time! haha.
DeleteThanks about the basket. They are fun to do! I started that business just before Taylor was born!
Oh you are so strict . . . lol
DeleteGosh more than 22 years . . . . well no wonder you have refined the presentation and the whole package looks so good.. . . :)
Mean, aren't I? ha.
DeleteThat's really cute! How fun to get to pick out and put all that together :)
ReplyDeleteThat's the fun thing about this business...you get to shop and be creative and then sell it! This one has since been wrapped in cellophane and ribbon....it's all ready to be delivered!
Deletenice...that looks cool...i like the big daisy and the big acorn...
ReplyDeletesunflower. :)
DeleteI did like the big acorn, too!
I think look lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love Fall and always find beautifull all baskets you make! Is a nice gift!
Today I saw the first tree with red leaves!
DeleteBeautiful!
DeleteHere rain all week:)
So the spring is late!
You have to see the little bird I put in my sidebar:)
A little bird? OK...I'll come visit!....and have more ice cream. :)
DeleteVery creative! I love the idea of using a planter to hold everything. I can just smell that pumpkin candle. I just ordered my first fall candles. Can't wait for fall weather...it's sweltering here.
ReplyDeleteIt was really warm here today, too..and humid! That candle does smell really good. I need to go back and get myself one!
DeleteYour baskets are so pretty!! I hope that they enjoy the contents. xx
ReplyDeleteI hope so, too!
DeleteLooks wonderful. I would love that showing up at my door:)
ReplyDeleteWell, I wish it was going to you, too! :)
DeleteNow that I see this I want fall to come faster! Sooooo hot here. Such a lovely combination - love that acorn! It's funny because I was wondering about the basket business as I'd not heard you mention it for a while. Chocolate cornflakes clusters? Sound yummy.
ReplyDeleteMy busy basket time is December! It's usually quiet the rest of the year...which is fine, actually. One can only have so many businesses in their home! haha.
DeleteI'm ready for fall, too.....
I might have to go back and buy those corn flake clusters. I want to taste them!
Awesome job indeed
ReplyDeleteAs always at your feed

ReplyDeleteIt was fun to make. It was the first time I really thought about fall. It still seems a bit early to me!

I'm not in the fallish mood yet...it needs to cool off! ha.
DeleteYeah, it was more fallish three weeks ago!
DeleteIt really was! I'm so glad the entire summer wasn't hot like this!
DeleteI love that you "customize" your baskets. This one is just adorable, and will be love and enjoyed by the workers.
ReplyDeleteI hope they do! It was really fun to make...I always enjoy the shopping for the stuff!
DeleteThis is such a wonderful gift...who wouldn't want one? Looks like fall is just around the corner!
