Oh me too Betsy...But...Good for you Deb! and Martha! I try...do really well for a while...and then it all comes back again...*sigh*...tomorrow IS another day! right? Enjoy your evening.... Cheers! Linda :o)
Yes, I've done that, too! Once we let it go, why would we pick it back up again. I've pinned several similar quote like this...I should do a series. A few of them say, Now move on! lol...
yes, and I think it's a lesson we have to learn over and over....each burden has to be dealt with individually and a conscious effort has to be made to not let it control us!
I think as I get older, I really don't sweat the little things...but there are heartaches that are big...sometimes bigger than life. It's those things that I find that I need to let go of, instead of lugging them around and letting them weigh down my heart. And of course, we aren't supposed to try to do it alone, either! ha.
Trust me, I know all about this! Remind myself daily to let it go and love anyway. It's what Jesus does/would do, and what I hope others do for me when I mess up. Some days it's much harder than others, though. But God is always there, ever faithful, and helps if I allow Him. Thankful for that!
Very true! Reminds me of something I read that said....it's hard to fly with all that dirt in your wings. Can't remember the exact quote or who said it : )
Words of wisdom Betsy..but, why is it we continue to carry these heavy loads? We need to find a place to put them down for good. Then the journey will be lighter.
I agree. I've been trying. Thinking about this..."This is the blessed life-not anxious to see far in front, nor eager to choose the path, but quietly following behind the Shepherd, one step at a time. The Shepherd was always out in front of the sheep. He was down in front. Any attack upon them had to take him into account. Now God is down in front. He is in the tomorrows. It is tomorrow that fills men with dread. God is there already. All the tomorrows of our life have to pass Him before they can get to us."
No more carrying that stuff around.
ReplyDeletelol...true, so true....
ReplyDeleteI'm doing a lot of that lately. Time to lighten the load and it feels good.
ReplyDeleteHow wise of you! I find it easier said than done, sometimes, though!

ReplyDeleteThat's why I'm reminding y'all, along with myself. ha.
DeleteThese are two that I like... along similar lines.
DeleteNotice the people who are happy for your happiness, and sad for your sadness.
They’re the ones who deserve special places in your heart.
When something goes wrong in your life, just yell,
“Plot Twist!” and move on.
Good one Suza!
DeleteBrilliant.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? Maybe I should post it weekly. ha.
DeleteIt really is so very true. When we think of the things we carry around that we just don't need to. I love the way the letters are too.
DeletePS: Fun banner, too.

DeleteLet it go and move on with life
ReplyDeleteCan't hang up on the strife
Need to be more like you...let it all roll off your back
Deleteand not get hurt by the attacks....
Yeah got attacked today
DeleteBy some huge Bleepity bleep at my bay
But what the heck
On with the trek
Someone you don't really know...
DeleteI don't get hurt by those woes.
It's the people you thought loved you..
those hurts give me the blues.
Yeah just a nutball out of the blue
DeleteRanting about the things coming due
Real stick up her butt
But that is her cross to bear at her hut
Amen. Love this. I can remember a time or two in my life that I did exactly that, for exactly that reason.
ReplyDeleteyes, and you know it's true...you just have to get to that point where you actually do it!

ReplyDeleteOh me, too...and sometimes I pick up new stuff! haha.
DeleteWords of wisdom Betsy..but, why is it we continue to carry these heavy loads?
ReplyDeleteWe need to find a place to put them down for good. Then the journey will be lighter.
I totally agree...it's hard to do and a lesson we seem to have to learn over and over!
