  3. Intriguing photos... chocolate bars, pretty plates...
Your cats always leave me smiling. How can I help it?
And waking up to fresh coffee? What could be more sublime?
You might get the stains out of your doilies with the concoction I found online.
If you want to, that is.

    1. Do I have stains on my doilies? haha....I threw bleach in the washer with them and they seem to have come out fine.
I want to know the concoction, though, in case I come across some really fragile ones!

Aren't the plates pretty? I put them in the shop. I think dessert or a tea party would be lovely on those.

Waking up to that coffee perking is probably my favorite thing ever. I would never go back to going out to the kitchen for it. I sit there in the dark and wake up slowly with it...a lovely way to start the day.

    2. My concoction included a nice does of bleach, dishwasher detergent, and Borax, along with regular laundry soap. It was really for whitening yellowed pillows, but I threw my hand crocheted tablecloth in too because it looked rather yucky. I'd actually put it on my table now, if I ever get the table refinished.

I forgot to say how good your salad looks.

    3. I think I'll add Borax to my grocery list! I've never bought it before. I have a few pillows to try that on! Oh..just remembered, too, that I have yellowed table cloths from that auction. I was going to throw them out with all the yucky stains on them...now maybe I can rescue them!

That salad was good...it was going to be regular blt sandwiches and I changed it to a gluten free dinner. :)

    4. Gotta love those gluten free meals!

I sent you the pin that links to the whitening recipe I used.

    1. I think it's the vacuum bag more than the lint tray! haha. Now it isn't bad...but I noticed the fur when they shed their winter coats in the spring. Actually Nugget is the worst!

Our humidity surely will end soon!

  8. How sweet of you to let the dark furred babies lie on your white bedspread. Wish I had a legitimate reason to not make my bed. Years ago I used to feed wild rabbits in my yard. I named them Arnold and Miss Nibs. 52 sounds young to me, since I'm 69. Lynne in NC

    1. Remember when you were a kid and everyone over 25 seemed old? Now, as we age, the majority of people are younger than us! haha.
Arnold and Miss Nibs...that is so cute! I'd feed them if I didn't have the cats. I think they are adorable!

    2. You know, the white bedspread just goes into the laundry when it needs to...just another example of using the things you love and living..really living with them instead of putting them on a shelf and not being allowed to touch them.

    3. Let's face it, EVERBODY here is younger than me! Now I'm depressed. . . . . . .

    1. Love that rabbit, it would look nice on a plate with some new potatoes, veggies and tartare sauce. . .and I could have that BLT as a side salad, followed up with some of that chocolate for afters! (Joke!) I'm sure the Mister could spare a bar. Happy belated Birthday to Jeff!

      Well, I was only half joking. . . .

    2. You wouldn't really eat nugget would you, Keith?

    3. I say that because nugget is the only rabbit around, as Hilary says the one in the photo is a hare, and I'm not sure whether nugget is 'hare' type . . . . . . . ouch ! . . . what an awful pun !!! . . . lol

      Delete
    4. I realised it was a hare, but I thought it better not to show of my superior knowledge that Betsy was mistaken; being the spiffing gentleman that I am.

No, I wouldn't eat Nugget, being incredibly old he would be a bit tough! I would prefer 'Jugged Hare' instead. "Hare today, gone tomorrow", Yum.

  13. Hi Betsy - stunning photos ... love the hare ... and then the cats all over the place. Lucky Mr - hope he eats those quickly ... could be gone very easily! The BLT looks very enticing ... cheers Hilary
