What a fantastic series of photos - like the summer one best so far. That blue tree is marvelous. What is it?And just loved the header. Blog needs renaming , "My Five Crooners" . . . . lol
It's a Blue Spruce....a pine tree, really. It's new growth certainly is bluer than earlier in the year...no photo editing there.
That blue spruce is truly magnificent - if I was moving into a new house and there was a lot of space available that might just ne my first choice tree,
I'll have to get a photo of it's full length some time for you. It's really tall!
Gosh! I'm first! for a change. :)
yes, you are!
Hey Babe...you're #1!
Well . . . it's taken you log enough to realise it . . . . . . . rofl
Oh Eddie....You know you are # 1!But....remember to check your spelling!
That is just the coolest! Is that a blue spruce you see so prominently in 'summer'?
yes...blue spruce....we have several of them in the backyard. I think they are my favorite of the pines.
When I first saw this posting, I thought you had a dusting of SNOW already!!! Whew!!! Glad you didn't. Here in GA we are roasting.... still.... even though it's only 89 today! HAAHAAA.....
LOL! Oh, that would have been something else! No, we're near 90 degrees ourselves today..very humid, too. But I do love snow...maybe not in August, though. I suppose you're sipping sweet southern tea and staying cool.
I'm actually working outside in the yard & garden trying to keep grass under control, and the garden maintained! Sweating like a dog!! Drinking lots and lots of water. Sweet tea comes along at the end of my day at dinner time (or supper, as we say down here.) And maybe a second or third glass as I sit on the porch swing and watch the sun set and feel the cooler night air move in.
I had a bonsai blue spruce once, it was growing on a rock with the roots all down the sides into the soil. It was 80 years old. I entered it into a show, and the next day it was gone, along with several other peoples bonsai; they had a break in at the Exhibition Hall that night.Love your picture of the fully grown one.
I'm so sorry your bonsai was stolen. It sounds like it was amazing.
That tree was my favourite, it was so colourful.
You have such a beautiful yard and I love seeing it in all the seasons. I love your bird shot on your header too!
Actually, I wish our yard looked like yours! haha. I love that bird shot, too...it's from tumblr. The link will show if you click on the picture.

Aw you know sometimes I love kidding Im happy you like:)
May I say Gloria that those little chicks are so sweet and they look great on Betsy's header. Love them. . . :)
It's fascinating isn't it how trees change colour throughout the year?
Yes, it is...I do love living where we see a distinct change 4 times a year....I think it's lovely.

Love this series - hope you'll do a fall scene too. What a lovely view to look out on, so much to see in each season.
Yes, I'll remember...it will be fun to have all four in a row!
Now all we have to do is to wait for fall to call! xx
Yes, then we'll have the full cycle! It won't be long, now!
give it a few weeks and i expect another on to join the pack...what a lovely yard....
Yeah, I almost missed 'summer', didn't I? It's 2/3rds done already! Our leaves peak in October, so I'll wait until it's perfectly colorful for the next one. :)
Wonderful to see. Fall is coming soon. I like your hungry birds in a row.
Aren't they cute? Gloria sent that to me. :)

I just took the summer one today.Fall hasn't happened yet at my bay. :)Come October and then you'll seepretty colored leaves on the tree.
It has happened at least 4 timesSince i started giving chimes lol
Yes, it has, but my photographs are new.I'm photographing this year's view. The same pose each seasonto see the change, is the reason
Looking forward to the fall photo.
I kind of am, too! It will be here before we know it!
These are gorgeous. So clever that you got exactly the same angle, Betsy. I love having four seasons too, although right now I am melting and I don't like it! And how curious that there is not a cat to be had in any of these - just as well or you would have to match them up each time you took a new photo. That would be a challenge! I bet some are hiding just out of sight. LOVE the new birdie header - ha!
It's pretty melty and humid here, too! There were cats on the porch where I was standing! They were just out of shot. haha.
That blue tree is absolutely perfection
LOVE IT! The seasons are wonderful in your yard!
I'm serving coffee! Stay and chat! And no awards, please! Your comments are my awards!
