lol no need to make the bed Cat's from foot to head They just keep in warm for you Might be better in the winter though at your zoo haha Nugget has a buddy as well? Coming inside where you dwell
Intriguing photos... chocolate bars, pretty plates... Your cats always leave me smiling. How can I help it? And waking up to fresh coffee? What could be more sublime? You might get the stains out of your doilies with the concoction I found online. If you want to, that is. :0)
Do I have stains on my doilies? haha....I threw bleach in the washer with them and they seem to have come out fine. I want to know the concoction, though, in case I come across some really fragile ones!
Aren't the plates pretty? I put them in the shop. I think dessert or a tea party would be lovely on those.
Waking up to that coffee perking is probably my favorite thing ever. I would never go back to going out to the kitchen for it. I sit there in the dark and wake up slowly with it...a lovely way to start the day.
My concoction included a nice does of bleach, dishwasher detergent, and Borax, along with regular laundry soap. It was really for whitening yellowed pillows, but I threw my hand crocheted tablecloth in too because it looked rather yucky. I'd actually put it on my table now, if I ever get the table refinished.
I think I'll add Borax to my grocery list! I've never bought it before. I have a few pillows to try that on! Oh..just remembered, too, that I have yellowed table cloths from that auction. I was going to throw them out with all the yucky stains on them...now maybe I can rescue them!
That salad was good...it was going to be regular blt sandwiches and I changed it to a gluten free dinner. :)
Hi Betsy.... Your dryer lint tray must be full of fur! I remember those days! Cute bunnie....pretty plates....salivating over that salad! Happy belated to the Mr! I must say...I really enjoyed your comment at mine tonight♥️ I left quite a long reply.....thanks! No humidity today....quite nice actually.... Enjoy your evening... Cheers! Linda :o)
I think it's the vacuum bag more than the lint tray! haha. Now it isn't bad...but I noticed the fur when they shed their winter coats in the spring. Actually Nugget is the worst!
How sweet of you to let the dark furred babies lie on your white bedspread. Wish I had a legitimate reason to not make my bed. Years ago I used to feed wild rabbits in my yard. I named them Arnold and Miss Nibs. 52 sounds young to me, since I'm 69. Lynne in NC
Remember when you were a kid and everyone over 25 seemed old? Now, as we age, the majority of people are younger than us! haha. Arnold and Miss Nibs...that is so cute! I'd feed them if I didn't have the cats. I think they are adorable!
You know, the white bedspread just goes into the laundry when it needs to...just another example of using the things you love and living..really living with them instead of putting them on a shelf and not being allowed to touch them.
Aw, Nugget has a sweetheart! Love the cat duvet - very cosy. I am so tempted by those plates, I can't tell you! Pretty and I like that they have little variations.
Do you think she would let nugget catch her? . . . . Yummie salad Cats everywhere . . . . lol Nice eat treats for The Mister . . . .but a certain someone helps out with the chocolate . . . lol Interesting plates . . . . and clever crocheting . . . my mother in law was wonderful at that and her mats are all over the house. . . . :)
Love that rabbit, it would look nice on a plate with some new potatoes, veggies and tartare sauce. . .and I could have that BLT as a side salad, followed up with some of that chocolate for afters! (Joke!) I'm sure the Mister could spare a bar. Happy belated Birthday to Jeff!
I say that because nugget is the only rabbit around, as Hilary says the one in the photo is a hare, and I'm not sure whether nugget is 'hare' type . . . . . . . ouch ! . . . what an awful pun !!! . . . lol
I realised it was a hare, but I thought it better not to show of my superior knowledge that Betsy was mistaken; being the spiffing gentleman that I am.
No, I wouldn't eat Nugget, being incredibly old he would be a bit tough! I would prefer 'Jugged Hare' instead. "Hare today, gone tomorrow", Yum.
Hi Betsy - stunning photos ... love the hare ... and then the cats all over the place. Lucky Mr - hope he eats those quickly ... could be gone very easily! The BLT looks very enticing ... cheers Hilary
I've always teased the mister that he loves chocolate like a woman. haha. He's not happy if there isn't any in the house! Hopefully that will last him a little while.
Those photos are absolutely wizard, old gal, I don't know how you do it. My photos turn out so bad I have to doctor them up in Photoshop before I dare show them.
I just love the little vignettes of your life. Great photos. Some of my Grandma's handwork looks just like that. I haven't had it out for ages...maybe it's time again.
I always enjoy your photos. I just had 5 (of 6) cats on my bed! Happy Belated Birthday to your husband. What gorgeous dishes and handmade doily. You were lucky to get a shot of the bunny!

ReplyDeleteI even fell in love with the photos of those plates! haha...especially the one where they are all stacked up.
DeleteOh my!! I don't know what cracked me up more- all the cats on your bed or the coffee maker on your nightstand!!! That's brilliant- I love it!
ReplyDeleteIt's been there since the triplets were babies. ha. It's programmable, so I use it instead of an alarm clock! It's a lovely way to start the day.
DeleteThe plates are beautiful!!! So funny about the cats, they really do just make themselves at home wherever they feel like it don't they! xx
ReplyDeleteThey know a cozy spot when they see one! haha.
