She can bake a berry pie
in the twinkling of an eye! ♪♪♪
I puttered in the kitchen today and this was the result!
Real butter, all from scratch, pie a la mode.
There's something therapeutic about baking.
I can be alone with my thoughts and just enjoy the process.
And later, enjoy the results!
♥
So tasty looking! If you want some baking therapy... come here! xo
ReplyDeleteBaking therapy...I love that! ha. What a delicious way to mull over your thoughts.
DeleteThat looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteI'm wanting a second piece at the moment. ha.
DeleteI'm drooling! And yes, baking is so therapeutic.....and the results!!! I can just taste your flaky crust!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was flaky...my favorite part. I really wouldn't even have to add a filling. haha.
DeleteBetsy, what is the dark ingredient with the flour in your bowl?
DeleteIt's cinnamon, along with sugar, cornstarch, minute tapioca and salt.
DeleteI love it! You know Ilove berries!!
ReplyDeleteLook delicious!
Betsy the recipe:)
♡♥♡♥
Im agree baking is therapeutic ....
And delicious!
I thought about adding the recipe, but it's really just a typical blueberry pie...with a little sugar, corn starch, salt and cinnamon. The crust is Martha Stewart's pate brisee, which I always use for my crusts. Yum!
DeleteYes, therapy! You know I need it! lol...
DeleteYes and I love it!
DeleteBetsy put the crust link of the martha...

DeleteGosh Betsy I can see making that berry pie would be almost as good as eating it!!
ReplyDeleteBaking therapy . . . perhaps in time I may catch the urge . . . Looks truly scrumptious . . . :)
It was scrumptious! The rest of it is calling my name as it sits on the counter behind me. haha.
DeleteIf I lived next door would you let me have some? . . . . . :)
DeleteI'll have to think on that.....
DeleteLol!
Oh you ARE strict . . . . lol
DeleteI knew you would bake it from the start
ReplyDeleteI'd probably burn a pop tart lol
You remembered my words from earlier in the week
Deleteand then knew today I'd bake the sweet treat!

ReplyDeletenow that is the question.

To you? Of course!
Deletethats a beautiful pie, was that on your list of To Do's for summer?
ReplyDeleteWell, it was on my list of things to do this week. haha. I didn't do the summer list! Well, not officially.
DeleteThat's a beautiful-looking crust! I've been eating my blueberries mixed with yogurt, which is NOT the same as pie :-)
ReplyDeletehaha..no, it's not the same, but it is my morning staple..fresh blueberries and yogurt just go together! yum. And it's guilt free!
DeleteLooks delicious my sweet lady!!
ReplyDeleteMy, aren't you charming. :) Thanks for always making me smile. The pie WAS delicious..oh my. It will be a little sad when it's gone! haha.
DeleteYour pie is perfect!
ReplyDeleteMy blueberries don't look so happy this year. If I make a pie I just might have to buy y berries for the first time in 13 years.
You know, I always loved baking, but the stress levels over the years took the joy out of it. I was blessed on Tuesday to find I was actually enjoying it again.
:0)
PS, We leave for the mountains tomorrow.
Deletetoo bad about your berries! I wonder what the problem is...they always look so good with the kiddos picking them! How wonderful, too, that you enjoyed some baking. I noticed today how much I was enjoying it and I think it's because I wasn't rushed, it wasn't a time crunch and I didn't have anything else going on...no distractions. So nice!
Deletetomorrow? Well, I hope you have a really fun time!
Yum... love blueberry pie and yours looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteI might have to have a piece for breakfast tomorrow! ha.
DeleteYou're lucky Tom can bake pies! I don't even think I could get the mister to give it a try. haha.
DeleteHe does make yummy pies, too. He just made an aple pie last week and a cherry the week before. He also made one for our next door neighbor. She has been giving us tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchini. Her garden is overflowing! We didn't plant one this year.
DeleteWell, it doesn't sound like you needed to plant one! Ha....that's even better! I'm sure she appreciated the pie...how thoughtful!
DeleteIt's a beautiful thing! I have your Apple Blueberry Crisp on the menu next weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteOh yum! I haven't made that since! That sounds wonderful...I love that topping on my crisp...probably better than pie! ha.
DeleteShe can make a berry pie,
ReplyDeleteQuick as a cat can wink an eye,
She's a young thing
And cannot leave her mother.
I've been singing that all day! And I like the addition of the cat! ha.
DeleteOf course she can.....piece of cake.....er.....PIE!
ReplyDeleteBecause she is Wonder Woman!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Or even lemon blueberry breakfast cake, right! Ha.
DeleteYes, yes, yes, yes, yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xx
ReplyDeletePlease have a piece! Lol...
DeleteLooks yummy! I tried out the Mason Jar pies, I need to perfect the flaky crust a little bit more. Because I don't want to eat a whole blueberry pie, I made 2 of the jar pies and 1 apple pie for Kevin from one basic pie crust . I gave the other jar pie to the neighbor that lets me pick blueberries from his land...he's so generous, he even lets me put a couple of things of my own in his garden plot...so I had to "pay him back"!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried those jar pies but they look so cute! If you want to try this crust recipe, just google Martha Stewart pate brisee. I've used it for years and it's always really good!
DeleteNever hears of a mason jar pie. I know of the mason jar refrigerator oatmeal... but not the pie. Sounds cool.
ReplyDeleteThey are all over pinterest...go take a look...so very cute! It would be so fun to make them and take them on a picnic or some outdoor event.
DeleteI was just looking online - so darn cute!
Deleteyeah, I started a board for them a while back, that included those cakes in a mug. Very cute!
DeleteOh - I will have to go and look at your board. I love the idea. They have little crisps in jars too!
DeleteI just added a few more...some adorable ones I really need to try. Not sure why I haven't made those yet! I even have the jars!
DeleteHa! We were commenting at the same moment.
ReplyDeleteWho? You and me?
DeleteYes - you and I.
ReplyDeleteI don't see mine....maybe it didn't take!
DeleteI meant that my comment about mason jars was appearing at exactly the same time as your reply to Melissa about mason jars - at 1:37 p.m. But now it says 1:30 for yours and 1:37 for mine. Strange. Oh well. :-)
DeleteOh, I see. I was looking for duplicate times and couldn't find one!
DeleteWhile looking at jar recipes, I saw one for Boston Cream Pie. Have you even had it? I'm hungry for it...haven't had it in years and years...in fact, I've never made one myself! I've seen it three times on Pinterest this week....I'm taking that as a sign that I need to make it!
It looks delicious Betsy. I haven't been doing a lot of baking lately but I made blueberry muffins the other day and you are right, it is therapeutic :)
ReplyDeleteI knew if anyone could do it, you could. My daughter in law made blueberry pancakes last weekend. Excellent. We should have added ice cream.
ReplyDeleteOh I was waiting for this since your post earlier in the week... I am not disappointed! Looks delicious! I only wish I could have a taste. :)
ReplyDelete*Drool*
ReplyDeleteI s'pect I could manage to eat that whole pie :)
Beautiful.
