For Lynne

Lynne is one of my readers and Slate's biggest fan.
She'd love to have a kitty but can't any longer so she lives
vicariously through me.  As soon as I took this picture, I knew
I had to show Lynne!  What a poser!  Isn't he gorgeous?
Tiger brought Slate home with him back in February when the
temps were way below freezing.  The two of them were curled
up on a patio chair on the back porch, Tiger keeping Slate warm.
Yeah, Tiger is sweet like that.  Remember how rough Slate looked?
See here.  He's happy and healthy now. He's the best cat, too.

So there, you go, Lynne!  I hope this warmed your heart and
took your mind off your pains and troubles today.
Sending love from Slate to you!

    1. That's his spot there on the sofa and he loves that crochet throw. It suits him, don't you think?

  2. That is one fine looking cat. If you entered him for the equivalent show in America of our Cats Crufts Show I'm sure he would win a major prize, possibly even the Best in Show.

    1. I'm all off schedule after that nascar race!
Will take me a few days to get back in place!
Tiger seeks out the down and out
and tells them they shouldn't pout.
"Come to my home!" and he leads the way,
where they can sleep, eat, and always play.

  5. what I notice is the look in Slate's eyes in the before photo compared to now, in the before photo there was fear and anxiousness, now he looks calm and confident, what a beauty, he won the lottery when he came to your porch!

    1. We feel just as lucky as he does...he's just about the perfect cat...lovely personality, soft, affectionate. Yes, that before photo says it all, doesn't it? Poor guy...he was dehydrated, starved and freezing. Our cats accepted him readily...some they just have a fit over and hiss until they leave. Maybe they can sense between the kind and the mean.
