Ha! Slate is really fun!
He's hilarious. :)
Really is!And he find this box and love it?
Audrey says unless you can hang your feet out it's rubbish. So, she says that it's perfect. Enjoy, Slate.
Slate says it's nice to have someone that thinks like him!
Not quite so regal as Tiger, but cute just the same.:0)
Sleeping in cardboard really isn't acting regal, is it!
Ha! Love this. They do love to contort themselves into cardboard. And who is that in the background to the left of your computer? And is there one on the right? Can't quite tell. You're surrounded, I tell ya!
That's Whiskers on the left...and a camera lens on the right. haha.
Figures. I see cats even where there aren't any! Laughing. Gosh that fur is so soft... I just want to lay my head on him. He might not like that though :-)
I think he is the softest of all of them! He's come a long way since we first saw him! haha...we still laugh thinking about it!
Don't you know the rules about boxes...the legs don't have to fit! HaHa... That expression is priceless!
haha...I've been busy this week and no time to write posts. Cat photos are always plentiful, so there you go..two days in a row. lol....
Your home must be a hoot!Cats, birds, rabbit and boys!(I see another cat near your computer waiting for it's turn in the lime light.)
Yes, it really is a zoo!
My mom's cat, Maine Coon, loved to crawl into any container but a lid was his favorite. Slade is a wonderful cat.
He really is! He's our most recent stray to adopt us. He's got a lot of personality!
Ahhh...cats and boxes...a real love affair!Cheers!Linda :o)
I wonder why that is?
When I was young....playing in a refrigerator box was awesome!Perhaps the same thrill....remember making tents out of towels...ahhhhh....the good old days♥️
We did the same thing! Simple times, huh! Blanket forts were my favorite!
I loved blanket forts too. I think cats like cardboard boxes because it warms up quickly with their warmth... and also because it's malleable when it comes to squishing their pudginess inside. :-) I wish I could find a picture of one of my cats, Kotsko, a beautiful, big long-haired ginger boy. One Christmas I got a pair of red leather boots and all day he "worked" that box so he could get comfy.
Aw...yes, you might be right! When our first little litter first was here and their mom still hissed at us, teaching her babies to be scared of us, I took a box out to the back porch and let them play in it. Boy, did they enjoy that box! They destroyed it! So funny...and it was a break-through in them thinking I was fun and safe. yay for boxes!
Suza......you really MUST do a blog.....
Well I just might Linda... :-)
Slate looks very comfy. When we moved recently, I had to look in all the boxes to be sure I did not tape up a cat!
I am laughing very hard at this, Mildred!
Oh, that is hilarious! I bet they had a ball when you unpacked!
oh, I'm in love!! I just want to take that big, grey fella and schmoosh my face into his soft-looking tummy! His look just cracks me up . . . more examples of feline 'help' of the best kind! Oh- and I see the outline of yet another helper by your computer, too- little elves helping you work!!
I'm never without a little 'help' around here! haha.
The perfect size to let it all hang outNo idea what she is talking about
It's just fine to him, making me grin!
tropical storm coming to you!Better pull out your umbrella, and rain boots, too!
Yeah saw that coming this wayMaybe it will cool down the dayAnd nowhere to goSo safe and sound at my show
It should cool down your day!Just don't float away!
By the way - I am poking around the shop. Lots of new things! You have been busy. :-)
I have been busy...and still more to do!
Betsy, Your photos are getting just too precious to bear. Each one is better than the one before. Love the back legs. They look like jack rabbit feet. Cats do love to squeeze into tight spaces. So glad you were able to adopt dear Slate. He's a real prize, but doesn't seem conceited. :-) Lynne in NC
He is the dearest kitty! I just love him! No, he's not conceited..he has the best personality and is very affectionate. He's just so adorable! I know...those back feet are hilarious, aren't they? Cracks me up!
He looks pretty comfy!
You think so? haha.
LOLCan't be very comfortable for him ! :)
He was determined, though!
Our cat used to stuff himself into the board game box we were currently playing. Every once in awhile the pay would come out to swipe at our game pieces. I miss having a cat!
Oh, that's funny! I can't imagine playing a board game here. They would take turns hoping on the board and scattering everything! haha.
Hi Betsy,Thank you so much for the comment. It truly surprised me when I saw how well it worked. It also seems to work on those cut up salad mixes, but for them it is a good idea to put in a paper towel until all the moisture is in the paper towel and you throw the wet one away and add a new one. It is the moisture that is bad for the salad mixture. And it also works for when you have leftover lettuce leaves once you have pulled them off. I have also heard it is a good idea to take the stem out because it makes the lettuce taste bitter, but then again I have heard that you should leave it in. I am not sure what other veggies it works on because some need the moisture. As to how I am feeling, what can I say. I have lived for the two months out of the two to three months prediction, and I think I am hopefully starting to feel better. I am staying awake for longer periods of time, which is fairly nice which I hope means my heart is getting stronger. And this is one of the few times I have felt like I could write a comment and not take two hours to do it and not fall asleep every ten minutes. I do read posts but writing is harder. Usually it takes two to four hours just to write my Theme Thursdays prompts. I am just typing one minute and then sleeping the next. Trying to watch the TV is just so funny and I usually record what I watch because I zonk out and have to rewind back to the last part I was watching then zonk out, rewind. One time I think it took me four hours to watch an hour show. It is pretty funny if you think about it. Gotta go because I'm about to zonk out again. LOLGod bless.
Hey, Sherry! So good to see you here! Glad you're are getting better slowly but surely! And wow...I really appreciate your comment since I know how hard it is for you to leave one! You can nap during comments any time! haha.
Cats are so funny! Oliver loves to get into anything he can too. :)
I should have saved that for him to have on the floor! Didn't think of that...maybe they all would have tried to get in it. ha.
Whoops, forgot to say that he is a beautiful cat and strangely my Pitbull dogs like to sleep in boxes too small for them. They look pretty much like Slate does here.GBA
You need to take a picture of that! :)
Too cute. You've got to love how cats do that. I bought a pendant which came in a small jewellery box.. no larger than 3 inches by 2. It was open on the island in the kitchen and my cat had to make sure he sat with his two front paws wedged inside that box. They are ever amusing.
Oh, that is so funny! lol...hilarious!
Animals really do the funniest of things don't they!!! It must have been comfortable otherwise he wouldn't have done it, but really! xx
Constant entertainment, I'm telling you! How do I get anything done? haha. Hilary's story is the best, though!
As you will have imagined, I absolutely loved your portrait of regal Tiger. But this domestic snapshot of Slate is just as adorable. Pressing into narrow cardboard boxes seems to be international cat behaviour. The picture is so nice and how wonderful that Slate found you! For him it's the jackpot anyway, but it also seems to work out for you especially well. You can never have too much love and affection in your life. So much warmth and comfort seems to have been brought to your house by your tender and beautiful furry friends....
That is very true...they've added so much love and fun! I really should give them boxes to play with more often! I had forgotten how they love them!
Slate looks so comfortable and those captions are really funny..
I'm serving coffee! Stay and chat! And no awards, please! Your comments are my awards!
